Anybody know if Nintendo has accounced a video player (not necessarily 3D, just a normal avi/xvid/x264 player) for the 3DS?

I would use my iPlayer to player video files, but thanks to the supercard team, a 3DS compatibility update for the iPlayer will most likely not happen. (In fact, I didnt try my iPlayer yet, because of the 3DS bricking rumor).

no its just a button to play the 3D video
but it had a play, pause, fast forward, rewind and a video scroll so im guessing the video in the little channel could be changed

so Nintendo obviously have a video player

wonder if you could move that data to SD card then copy it to PC hmmmm

edit:
nope says cant look at software on the console until future update
but as the video is LIMITED TIME they might remove it with the same update so we might never get access to it

They trademarked 3DS Cinema, so I'd say they have a video player being worked on.
They'll have to have something to play back video for 3D Video recording.

Nintendo has stated that they will include 3D movie recording in the future. With Netflix also confirmed with 3D trailers and such, I'd expect full 3D movies in a few months or a year.

Well thats awesome, but will they include a video player with SD card and common video codec support? Or do we have to purchase each video from a store that can only be played on a 3DS? I just want to watch my animes on 3DS
