    I am shocked that they didn't add a NATIVE_FIRM update.
    So ReiNAND users can update just fine without hassle and you don't need a new payload for the homebrew launcher.

    Is it safe to update with B9S? I think I'm running B9S 1.2 (?) and Luma 8.1

    Yes, native firm wasn't changed. This appears to be a minor update aimed at new2ds compatibility.
