Does using the online require signing into your NNID?iunno if it's related, but acnl online seemingly no longer works. it keeps saying the servers are under maintenance.
Playing games online still work. I can still access MH4U's online lobbies and see what my friends are doing online. I doubt I'll be able to get any DLC, though :<Does using the online require signing into your NNID?
Not disagreeing, just saying that the very fact that you are forced to give up certain features means you are far from "master race". Plus there are already two games you flat out cannot play on your O3DS, with the potential for more on the way.
Smash is also saying under maintenance. Kinda funny because I was playing a match until it suddenly said "Communication error has occured". Got kicked back to the main menu and I couldn't join online because of that same error.iunno if it's related, but acnl online seemingly no longer works. it keeps saying the servers are under maintenance.

i agreeNah, I was just following the "Master Race" joke, it wasn't intended to take it seriously, also, XBC3D and Binding of Isaac are ports, and by word of many people, it plays better on a Wii (For Xenoblade Chronicles) or a PC for Binding of Isaac (this one is quite obvious...), and sadly, I don't see too much potential for the N3DS, like, the NX is rumored to be announced in 2016, the 3DS didn't have quite the same amount of fame as the NDS, so, naturally, like the GC, it's probably going to be discontinued earlier than the NDS.
And while the N3DS is great, is just like the Vita, by being too "strong" hardware wise, for 40 dollars games is not a viable choice, the N3DS of this generation is basically the DSi of the NDS, but with far more less exclusive games, and again, all of those (which are two) are just ports, which are arguably watered down versions of them to fit on the N3DS.
The N3DS is, as i said, a good console, but the potential for games on it, is just way too low, like, you would have to research how exactly the console works, it's limitations, and that the 3DS Fanbase Community is much larger and stronger than the N3DS community, so as a sales manager standpoint, developing games for the N3DS is way too risky, that's why the 3DS will have all of the awesome games, while the N3DS, maybe one or two for them, while i would love to see more awesome shit for the latter, realistically, it isn't going to happen, since the 3DS Community is again, a much bigger and more profitable way to develop and release games.
Just a small update: I managed to get back onto the eShop via Gateway Mode by updating the eShop CIA to the one from 10.0 (still current in 10.3), updating nver to 10.3's one, and using Free Multi Patcher. If we can edit the eShop CIA to be firmware spoofed for 9.5 (and disable that 9.6 bit 21 in http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Exheader#Flag2 under File Access Info, I think?), then N3DS CFW should have an easy time getting back onto the eShop. Not sure if you needed to have an NNID already linked or not though. Not going to risk trying unlinking and relinking.
I was already looking into this as a workaround for the new url crap that was forcing CFW users to use HANS in the first place, but I cant seem to figure out how to properly dump, extract and rebuild the eshop apps. Probably need to do the same for mint as well now.
Problem seems to be tied to NNID and, from the sounds of things, an NVer check. NVer was not updated with 10.3 (its still -28X, same as 10.2) so it seems highly likely that is where it is looking. The fact that any attempt to sign into NNID triggers the update message, and if you do not have a NNID setup and linked you have no problem accessing the eshop, is a strong indicator that the check is done when signing into your NNID.Updated my ironhax installer to the 10.3 payloads and have eshop access on 10.2 with no issues
New 3DS
I know HANS is annoying for CFW, but a simple workaround for non-Gateway mode for now is to update nver via CIA and then run the eShop through HANS. That will also work.
Hmm, gonna try that right now. Hopefully NVer doesnt go stupid on me.
Always man, ALWAYS!Just backup your emuNAND before you do it, nothing to lose that way.
if its just the NVer that's screwing 10.1 and lower over then if Smea finds a mean to Spoof that, other than when a Backend changes breaking URLS, in theopry w/ a new update a Nver spoof would be all thats needed for HANS to get into the eShop?
