Hi,

so new in this and don't know where to read up on it.

I want to know what kind of rips exists, are they any different, is there a way to validate?

I also read they are encrypted, is the Games encrypted themselves, if so i am guessing a correct rip ends up being encrypted, and if so does one decrypt it there if needed, or is that done during the rip?

I know it's a lot of questions, i am not expecting you ppl to answer them all, but basically direct me where to find the answers.
Cause it's a bit messy for me when i read around, it's probably easy ones you get how it works, but i am used to the classics where it's just a "rom" and that's it.
The most complex one i have worked with is Xbox 360, but i has a lot of tools for validation etc which makes things a bit easier (i still find it very messy, but i blame it mostly on their being so many different generations).

Thanks:)!

.cia files are what you use to run it on a hacked 3ds
.3ds files are what you use for flashcarts and emulators
