Hacking 3ds private header help

Sup guys I have smash on my gateway red card so I wanted to inject a header so I could play online, so I came and dumped my starfox game and copied starfox header to smash but when I go to online mode I get a error that says: this game cart cant access online futures or something alike, I don't think is a ban since I haven't played any games on my new 3ds and I have emunand 9.4 so maybe theres a problem there and I have update 1.1.0 for the game, and will I lose may save once I inject my working header and my dlc maps and characters thanks for your time

Use SaveDataFiler to backup your non header save > inject into headered mounted rom.

Did you rename the .3ds file to .3dz?

Use the Gateway Rom Patcher and let it do the work for you.
