Resident Evil Deadly Silence? The loading times where you entered doors or climbed stairs in it were completely skip-able, something the original lacked. Technically, the load times are almost nonexistent in that game. The loading screens were just there for show to be faithful to the originals, unlike the originals which had those sequences specifically to load areas. You could let them play and they'd last for 8 seconds or so, but you don't need to.

It's really impossible to say whether the final games will have these same loading times. But i wouldn't discount it and brush it off as the game being unfinished.

What kind of cards were the games running from, in these videos? Were they the finished, production models, or prototypes?

Chill out, people! Quote:

Mercenaries 3D has 15 seconds of loading for the level. It is possible however that these loading times are only present in the demo builds and won't be present in the final game.

They might improve it in times. Jeez! Paying any attention to this quote.

if u think that ROM can easily give over 900 MB/s at 1 TB capacity and that even my old SSD gives me 114MB sec, it means that Nintendo still use the same ROM tech., connectors (obviously) and maybe even protocol. Thats Bullshit, but maybe the only way to produce it cheap.

WOW

It's not that slow. Geez. Go play PS2 game and see what slow is. Or better yet BBS for PSP on UMD. The Guy waited like 2 seconds. Not a big deal.

Nice

.

Also, I don't really care how long the load times are. Be patient, it's no big deal. Super Smash Bros. Brawl. has long load times, but I still love it

I can't say that it really bothers me too much, and the load times didn't look too bad to be honest.

Meh. Load times haven't been a real issue since the '90s.

I can wait 10-20 seconds every once in a while.

*cough* Neo-Geo CD *cough*

developers should make load time minigames!
In all seriousness, I agree with this. There are actually a few games that already do this (Bayonetta's combo practise comes to mind) and it makes the waiting time more tolerable and even fun. Just something small to do while we wait for data to load.
