I have a question.. my 3ds have the latest luma version and are updated to the latest firmware by nintendo.. so thats all ok.. In earlier days when i used freeshop i could download the updates for the games also on freeshop.. Now freeshop does not excist anymore i don't know if it is safe to click on the update button when i start a game.. I just start them without updating, so my question is, can i just use the update button so it doesn't show anymore or just let it be and play them as i do now?
you can try. usually the most that will happen is simply you will get a error saying you cannot download the update.

I'm not sure if this question belongs here. If not I apologize.
I hacked my 3ds years ago using a ace3dsx flashcart. I'm currently using firmware version 11.6.0-39u.
If I update now (22-12-2020) will I lose hack?

Update Luma3DS (boot.firm) and everything will be fine on latest firmware.

Don't forget to update the copy on CTRNAND as well.

Good luck and have fun!

Hi, I recently bought an old 3ds with firmware 11.6.0-39u, it doesn't have any hack. I want to hack it but I don't know where to start nor what to do first. Can someone give me a hand? Thank you.

Thank you, it doesn't matter the firmware that my 3ds have?
If you will, better, try with this new method:
https://safecerthax.rocks/

Edit: You also must follow this instructions, that are not specified on the method, but it's necessary:
  • Download the boot9strap normal release (not devkit or ntr versions). Create on the root of the SD a folder named "boot9strap" and extract the boot9strap.firm and boot9strap.firm.sha files inside this folder.
  • Download the Luma latest release and extract the boot.firm and the boot.3dsx files on the root of the SD card.
When you finalize it, then do this tutorial:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup.html

if you can still access luma, I think the last a9lh version is 7.5 (could be wrong); after that, it's all boot.firm (b9s), which is needed for later firmware.

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
They need to add air tags to they airbuds..

@BigOnYa the airtags are bigger than the airpods, they won't fit

Click on your profile pic in the top right corner, and you'll get the profile menu popup, with the profile icon highlighted at the top, and the "bookmarks" banner next to it in gray. Click on that icon and you'll get a list of your bookmarks.
