I'm trying to downgrade and install arm9loaderhax on another 3ds,this time it was on 10.3.0.28e.
Everything went well to start with,I downgraded to 9.2.0,but I've tried twice to downgrade to 2.1.0 and both times it says .sha verification failed,failed,image corrupt or modified.What should I do ?

I really don't know. The issue will always be: are we able to launch anything (Homebrew) after rewritting the FIRMs?
If we have a bootable system, I trust it's easy to restore a NAND backup.
But I have no idea if we retain the game or the ability to run it. And the dump we made has, in fact, the A9LH payload in it.
But, and this is very theoretical, if you force the FIRM downgrade on a A9LH 3DS with the proper FIRMs, it will be bootable although you lose A9LH. (Picture frankenfirmware when we downgrade to 9.2).
As I said, if one has a hardmod, this scenarios are easy to test.
BTW, I have Fieldrunners but it's the same.

When you downgraded to 9.2, did it gave you any error?
Follow the steps again to downgrade to 9.2 and see if it installs the NFIRM.
Also, download again the 2.1 CTR-Transfer (from other source) and try again.
Other option is try another SD card.

All work fine up to (and including) v6.1.1-7f937331, which I'm currently using,
when I update my aureinand to a higher version, it greets me at the config screen and I configure it,
but when I press save and it actually boots, it just blackscreens
A reason I thought of, was that it could be because of a special TWL partition with several patches I installed before the errors occured
(does anybody know the title id of the stock EUR TWL for NUS, I can't find it).
Any suggestions how to fix that other than that mentioned above?

If your using SDless booters (Shadownand, or AuroraWright fork of it), you have to use pathchanger. (Don't ask me how, I don't know)
You can try downloading the latest stable non-dev version (6.1.2).
Delete the config from the Luma folder.
Delete the arm9loaderhax.bin from SD root and copy over the one from the zip.
Boot the console and the config will load. Choose only:
Autoboot Sysnand
Use Sysnand Firm
Show current NAND in System Settings
See if it Works.

when i try to open different roms on my sky3ds eg sonic generations it wont boot and says a system update is required to use this software update to ver 5.1.0-9E i am running sys 4.2.0-9E what is the solution to boot roms ?
Yeah I meant Luma3DS (still not used to the name change)
And I already tried the hourlys and stables (I am using the non-dev one), but I will give the dev one a try now.
The config delete thing is also a great idea, going to try this.
And about the pathchanger, I never had any problems with it and used it for a long time now :o

Sorry to pester guys but I'm really stuck,I installed arm9loader hax on my sons 3ds fine the other day but following the steps again carefully I'm not sure whats wrong.
In decrypt9 it always fails on verifying the sha file with image corrupt or modified error.

No need to system format.
But you should run the downgrader again to confirm you downgraded successfully to 9.2.
Follow the steps on section I and II til step 9.

I'm probably gonna pick up a N3DS XL tomorrow, since I was told that as long as I don't buy it as part of a bundle, the firmware will be downgradeable.
Before I do so i want to be prepared. Is the 4gb sd card enough or will I need a bigger one? If so, which size would you guys recommend?
I have literally no knowledge regarding the whole hacking process. Where do i start/Which guide should i follow?
Will originally bought games still work online?
