version 11 is perfectly alright, my 3ds is on it and i havent had a problem

If it wasn't safe to update to 11.0, then why would Plailect's guide, the guide that's very popular and well known, have it as an instruction step?
Yes, after you have finished Plailect's guide, it is safe to update to 11.0 because you will not lose anything and you can still install CIAs. :/
because i never seen before a cfw that is running completely on FW, they usually just need to be using 1 modified CFW and that's it (psp experience)
Update from me, I went ahead an did the system transfer. It all worked. Though I did lose all of the files on the home menu. One thing that was brought to my attention though was that the files are still available. Just in the other NNID file in the Nintendo 3ds folder. Can I just copy the files over to the new file or should I just reinstall everything?

The guide wants you to start fresh with the 3ds folder. So yes, it wants you to delete the folder and recreate it with the DSPdump inside it.
um, i own a gateway. so i have gateway emunand installed and all the other gw related stuffs
He can't use this guide, because taiwan 3dses start shipping at 4.x, which is past the otp lockout. He either needs a E/U/J 3ds or a way to temporatly change his 3ds region, which I don't know how to do. Also, there is no ctrtransfef file for 2.1, so he probably should get an EUJ 3ds.
true, but if you change your region (which is a lenghty proccess) i think your otp will stay the same
