Check the last page or so of Decrypt9 and download the latest zip file. That can let you convert .3ds to .cia with just your 3DS. If you don't want to go that route, use Decrypt9 through your Decrypt9 Luma payload and use this:

1) Put your 3DS roms in the roms folder of zip file after extracting it.
2) Press "Create ncchinfo.bin file".
3) Move that ncchinfo.bin file to the Decrypt9 folder that should be on the root of your SD card.
4) Put your SD card back into your system and open Decrypt9 through your payload.
5) Go to XORpad Generator Options -> NCCH Padgen and let that do what it needs to do.
6) After that's done, unmount your SD card and move all of the .xorpads to the xorpad folder that was in the Simple CIA Converter zip.
7) Hit the Convert 3DS to CIA and select the folder that your ROMs are in.
8) The program will then convert them. If the program freezes or says it's unresponsive, don't panic. That's normal.
9) Put your newly generated CIAs onto your SD card and install them with FBI.
Pressing create ncchinfo.bin doesnt create a file

thats how the exploit works,it would be best if he did format, you can also use this should work

So changing that file will change his friend code or his NNID? I didn't have a NNID when I transfered. I guess since he has A9LH he would write the files to sysNAND instead of emuNAND in the video?

im trying to redump my rom,
trying to dump a game card to convert to cia? you can dump it decrypted with Decrypt9, then convert it quicker with this (no xorpads/ncchinfo needed).

or, use a test build of Decrypt9 which can dump directly to cia.
Are the bootroms keys stored in the Nand?
uh...no bootrom keys are stored in the bootrom.

But ik how to dump the encrypted bootrom I need to know where the keys to decrypt it are?
dumping the entire bootrom isn't easy. you can only dump unprotected bootrom from software, and that doesn't contain keys. and what do you mean "encrypted bootrom"?

So the bootrom is already decrypted?
I don't think you necessarily know what you're talking about. we don't have the entire bootrom yet; once we get that, we can get some encryption keys (original NCCH, etc), among other things. this is also probably not the right place to continue this discussion.

Ok so friend who installed A9LH is going to format, he has to format via system settings and then he can restore a SD card backup with the games he installed under my 3DS? It doesn't have a NNID.

You can't use the SD contents (specifically the Nintendo 3DS folder which contains all the games and saves) on a different 3DS than the one it was made on.

Guys, I probably messed up...

I've tried to use this part of the guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
At the very end I've tried to run Luma3ds and update it - turns out that my SysNAND was updated to 11.0.0.33-E.
I've installed menuhax and am able to access homebrew launcher (used browser+website to access it) but I cannot access EmuNAND9 to restore the backup of 9.x to sysNAND.

Did I screw up very hard? what can I do now if I want to install luma3ds? :(
