Off topic but how do you actually get this ambassador thing? I went into the eShop and it just looks ordinary
The stuff will be available in september -.-

all you have to do is connect to e-shop. There wont be any message or anything popping out, telling you that you are an Ambassador NOW or anything.
No message? Geez... I at first thought that you need to be a member or something. My bad.
If you read the article it should be clear enough.
Connect to e-shop before 11th August 11.59 EST and you are in.

Yup, you can bet money on the fact it'll be only local play. Better than nothing, but Nintendo, seriously, start implementing online multiplayer too! The days of friends coming together and gaming on the couch are over! (at least in my life)

True.
We have a much wider age range of Gamers now.

Back in the days, we would take our Gameboy to school for pokemon battle.. we didnt have WiFi.
But now, I fall in a different age group lol. I woudnt go around taking my Handhelds everywhere just to play with someone..

I'm happy that Ninty shows some... making up-ness for us loyal nintendo 3ds buyers. And in this way, it's greatly appreciated. I hope the MP will be sweet :3, and if not, then there's always the other of 20 games we can haz.

Even if it is local couldn't you just use some complicated hamachi type setup?
Anyways its nice to see they actually seem to care

XLink Kai did it for PSP. Barely (I could never get it to work). But the PSP used Ad-hoc WiFi for local battles, so that's a bit diff.

So wait...if they can hack the multiplayer for their NES games and GBA games, why don't they do it for the GB games on the eShop?
Probably because they wanted some content in the store first before they can work on it.

Those versions may be updated as well.
