Just a thought for anyone capable of abusing this idea: is it likely that we can use the photo album or music loading from sd card to find a break like was done with smash stack?

Since the midnight release of the 3ds i have been using my R4i DSN and have updated with card in system with no problems.
Anyways was reading this thread and made me want to post something,
Nintendo CAN NOT remotely brick your system its illegal in the US![]()
The whole sony thing isnt the first time a video game company has tried to sue or take people to court over modding, its not illegal, it is illegal to own ROMs that you do not own the original too or as in example with music you have paid for the mp3 (ROM in this case). Once you buy something your free to do what you want with it. Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony,(fill in the company of choice) can however blacklist your serial stop u from recieving updates and taking advantage of any new features or any services they offer. And as far as usage recordings, no one ones any retail copies at all lol. But again, remote bricking no not gonna happen, 3ds will end up like the Wii, udating changes the IOS and your cIOS dont work gotta go find the latest work around blah blah blah, but in the end all us cheaters can still cheat nintendo lol![]()

well gotta say i love this site, always find the answer i need![]()

Is it working for anyone else?DSGamer64 said:M3i Zero isn't working on USA 3DS systems just so you know, I can confirm this after having tested it on more then one North American release unit, with both the stock and updated firmware. Hoping the M3 gets off their asses and updates soon.

Incorrect on both counts.Knyaz Vladimir said:Also, Nintendo can brick you, as you're just renting their console for an indefinite amount of time, which can be changed by Nintendo.
what the fuck?Knyaz Vladimir said:Also, Nintendo can brick you, as you're just renting their console for an indefinite amount of time, which can be changed by Nintendo. Of course, that's a controversial issue, and I'm not too sure on legality of that, but that's the other end of this argument. It could be yours, or it could be Nintendo's. I'm not sure.
I agree. We actually pay S$399 just to RENT a console? No right?Shabutie78 said:what the fuck?Knyaz Vladimir said:Also, Nintendo can brick you, as you're just renting their console for an indefinite amount of time, which can be changed by Nintendo. please read up instead of spreading rumors that are obviously false. it doesn't take a lawyer to tell you that once you pay for a piece of hardware, it's YOURS to do whatever you want with it. whether that be modding it, pirating with it, dancing with it, fucking it, painting it, or whatever you want to do. and nintendo has no right to stop you form doing so. however, they can deny you their services (or ban you).
if we were just renting our PS3s form sony, they would have borked all our systems, not ban us from PSN. this is exactly what sony is trying to fight for - to make modding their system illegal (because as it stands, it's perfectly legal.), and even if/when it does get outlawed, they still won't have the right to brick anyone. it's just stupid to think that it's a possibility.

it should
less time searching to find the thread![]()
They are unstoppable all right, but at least it makes it easier to separate this from those threads.Dylan said:vandawn said:chris888222 said:Can this thread be made into a sticky? I'm sure it'll be very useful to everyone who is concerned about the hack and the bricking or whatever...![]()

Given what we've seen over the last couple of weeks, stickying stuff is not by any means going to stop the idiotic threads. They're unstoppable.

I tested mine on my own as well as a friends 3DS systems and I get the No SD Card Found error message, yet it boots on DS systems no problem. Hankchill can confirm that it doesn't work because I tried it on his 3DS and I got the same error message.KingVamp said:Is it working for anyone else?DSGamer64 said:M3i Zero isn't working on USA 3DS systems just so you know, I can confirm this after having tested it on more then one North American release unit, with both the stock and updated firmware. It is just like jailbreaking an iPhone. They will void your warranty if you do it but you are free to do whatever you want to do anything to it. Same goes for the 3DS i suppose.
