I got some questions regarding the gateway blue cart:
Has anyone been able to play Pokemon Black/White 2 with it?
Is there any information about which other games might be not compatible with it?

For the last few hours, I've been trying to get the gateway to work when it was working earlier.

I have the gateway in the 3ds and I go to the diagnostic test and all of them fail. Does that mean that the gateway is defective?

I'm going to try the test rom just in case that is what you need to do the hardware test.

Tried it with firmware 1.2 but couldn't get the hardware diagnostic test to work. Still wouldn't read the card. Guessing I need to exchange it.

It happened to me a couple of times :S just delete the laucher on the SD card and put back the loader from the Gateway download file .... the loader seems to corrupt after a couple of crash and hard shut down of the 3ds. That did it for me.

I wish that were the case but unfortunately, I tried your method and once again the diagnostic said it failed and it still can't read the red card. I've only had it for like a day and am really surprised how it stopped working in the manner of a few hours that I have had it.

Formatted my 3ds once more and installed everything exactly to the instructions and still with 2.0b1, the FPGA test fails so I think I need to get an exchange as this unit is defective. When it was working for the few hours, the games led to problems like the game card has been removed or there is a problem and would always redirect me to home.

maybe they finnaly decided to skip b2 and go the final release derectly?
Maybe this whole b2 thing is a strategy. First time they said the emunand 7.0 won't to be supported buy 2.0. But this time they say they will implement it even before the multirom.
The purpose might be hiding what really they're doing from the competitor.

calm down buddy, you get the update when it's good and ready, and not until then. it's people like you is the reason why I have a broken beta firmware to begin with. the gateway team should only release stable builds of the firmware.

don't understand why we are fight between each other when we have nothing to do with the update coming or not and who lied about when. and calling people names over stupid stuff. I mean I would be upset if I was lied to but I wouldn't get bent out of shape over it just say how I feel and move on. I rather have a stable work version then have a bigger headache than what we have currently. if people keep bitching about this that and the other the team can just back out of it altogether and say if these people don't appreciate what we have done and trying to do we can scrap the whole thing and leave everyone with half ass working cards and you spent that $80 bucks for a semi working 3ds card. I mean it would be stupid to release a second beta 2 to 3 days before they decide to release a final version. that means get it loaded into the system to mess with It just to get another version 2 to 3 days later. I rather wait and get the final and know its stable.

First of all, where is this email that says it's coming in the next 48 hours? Not just your own statement that's its coming in 48 hours. Of course, if it was an actual reliable source, then it would make sense but you have provided no proof as to why they would release it in the next 48 hours. These things take time.

Second of all, 48 hours from what time the person sent the email. It's not even Christmas Eve yet where I'm at. I don't think it's Christmas Eve anywhere at this moment so why are you complaining about an update that still has time to come out.

Third, they could be upfront, if you yourself emailed them. But no, you relied on someone else's word of mouth that their email says 48 hours. Did you recieve a similiar email? I don't think so.

Back to the topic at hand, so I sent an RMA request for my Gateway that I got a day ago. Is the red gateway really that sensitive to damage?

While I appreciate that, likes typically are not any indication as to how much standing a member has. But seriously you guys, pointless bashing will go nowhere, and relax on this. It's the holidays, let these people spend some time being with their own families rather than mess up their Christmas dealing with angry rambler emails asking and crying for release dates and features.

More so for the fact that you have an established presence on these forums.

The 700th (or 699th rather) like was just a mere coincidence.

As for all the anger towards GateWay, you would think that especially around the holidays, a time of giving, not receiving, more people would be understanding of GateWay.

I would love the luxury of playing multiple ROMs on a single memory card as much as the next person, but people need to realize that GateWay has been put in this bad situation by many of the impatient and ungrateful users.

Happy Holidays to everyone, and I am sure GateWay will do their best to release their updates firmware as soon as they feel comfortable.

In the mean time, focus on the positive things in life, and spend as much time with your loved ones, as there are many things more important in life than a Nintendo 3DS flashcart.

I wonder if I should try the next gateway firmware update before I send in the card. Does FPGA test failure automatically imply that the card itself has a problem or might it be me trying to downgrade the firmware to 1.2 and back in a cycle to get the games to work?
