You can backup your sd card to the PC. I have got the monster hunter bundle, too. After formatting the sd card I copied my backup back to sd-card and monster hunter with its save is still there as expected.

Good to know ! Thanks :)

Tell me if this is possible
With eShop working people are able to purchase games so can we buy some games.
Backup the emunand with games purchase.
Do system transfer from emunand > secondary console (with/without emunand not sure if its possible with).
Now you would have all the games on second console, so just restore the backed up emunand copy and you would get games on both console?
I know this is a stupid idea but just thought it might be possible.

Has been done before, works, but after entering to the eShop on the console with cloned games, the tickets that allow the cloned games to work are deleted.

Also, System Transfer is not possible to perform on emuNAND.

thanks for the heads up thought system transfer worked on emunand.

not sure if i read this on this forum, but someone was talking about releasing an app for android phones to write 3ds roms to microsd cards fro use with the gateway. so you would be able to change your game on the fly, is there any news of this being released if anyone knows. thanks....................sudeki300

does anyone know a way to copy save data from retail game cart so it can be used in gateway?
I want to copy my friend's MH3U save data
I'm trying to use "Save Data Transfer Tool" to copy the save data, but I'm afraid it will erase the save data from the game cart

when we dump the nand, it is altered right? or is the 'GW xxx' text in the firmware version added on the fly?
as in, if we flash the nand that is dumped via the card, using a hardware flasher, will it still say 'GW ...' in the version text?

The dump is a clean system dump. The system gets patched on the fly.

cool, thanks for that. so we can dump the nand with the ds profile exploit just by using a ds mode flashcart, so in theory we could have emunand just the same way, but of course gateway wouldn't want to give us that :)

Uh?? you actually can dump your NAND using the ds exploit and GW hack with another flashcard you only need the red gw card to play roms.

hmm? i'm confused what you mean, i was saying that you can dump your nand via the ds exploit yeah.
i was just talking about because we can dump our nand without the gateway card, surely we could USE the dumped nand without it too, right. (but gateway have not added that, since they want us to buy the red card)

Well you can dump your NAND, set up emuNAND and use it. The only thing you cannot do is play roms well al least you could before the release of the 7.0 firmware.

oh, we can load up in the emunand without the 'red' card? very sorry, i misunderstood :) i did not know that.
this alone would let me play retail games that i cannot play on 4.5, thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately now you have to wait until they release an update for the firmware 7.0 to work properly with emuNAND sorry about it.
