Hardware 3DS charging port problem

when i put my 3ds to charge in the dock it is charging but when i put t charge without the dock it don't charge please help me

so your saying when using the cable the console isnt charging

have you made sure the port is clean?

Seeing you unable to even use a meaningful title I'd guess you busted the 3DS' power socket.
(The cradle uses the two pads on either side of the socket instead.)
Life with it, send it for repair or buy a new one.

Crosstest with a different 3DS and porer adapter to verify.

Little question not worthy of a new thread (and I did google it):

With the charging cradle, does it have it's own power cord or do you plug your regular charger in to the cradle? (a photo I saw it looks like the regular charger plugs in)

I have an XL so it did not come with a cradle, but I see Nintendo sells an XL sized one for $19 (no picture of a cord or charger on their website)

I am asking about North America where my XL actually came with a regular charger. (I see the European Cradle comes with charger)

A regular charger costs $15 new and Nintendo is selling the cradle for $19 so this question goes to the heart of the value of buying it.

EDIT: I found the answer in a review. It doesn't come with a Charger and you have to plug your regular DS charger in to the cradle.

Hey I have the same problem. I have to get the charger cord to bend in order to charge it my problem is that I cant use the charging cradle because I have a power pak + on it.and nykos verson I heard messes things up.

If you have to bend the charger cord the charger could be defective. Have you tried another charger?
