I wanted to update my o3ds to 11.3 but the connection was too bad. So I restarted it and boom! Blackscreen (but at least I can access the luma settings)! I have already restored a backup, didn't help. Any advice?

Did you restart it mid-updating by forcing it to shut down? Doesn't seem like a good idea. But then again, restoring a NAND backup should've fixed it anyway. Do what Olmectron said, but if it doesn't work you can also try using one of the hourly builds found in http://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/

I'm using the latest commit and it's working fine on 11.3

Nope, it didn't find a connection so the 3ds didn't even start to update. Right now it has the luma hourly on the sd card.

Later I can try using the stable build of luma, can't access the computer now.

Strange though .. Why wouldn't his NAND backup work but a ctr transfer would work? You might as well try yeah, but seems odd.

This is really odd, but I've read some threads people having a similar issue, being resolved by CTR NAND transfer.

I'm not techy enough to know the answer behind this.

Still black screen. ctr transfer succeeded but still black screen.

This is from the 3DS.Guide .. Try ALL of these as well, and if it STILL doesn't work then we need someone more knowledgeable to help you on this..

  1. Ensure you have a working payload.
    1. Check for the existence of arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your SD card.
  2. Try resetting Luma’s config and fix options
    1. Delete /luma/config.bin from your SD card
    2. Set your options when it boot
  3. Try deleting home menu’s extdata
    1. Clear Home Menu’s extdata by navigating to the following folder on your SD card: /Nintendo 3DS/(32 Character ID)/(32 Character ID)/extdata/00000000/
      • EUR Region: Delete 00000098
      • JPN Region: Delete 00000082
      • USA Region: Delete 0000008f
      • KOR Region: Delete 000000A9
  4. Try booting without any cartridges inserted (including flashcarts)

For me numbers 3 and 4 seem the most likely solutions, but number 2 could also be a possibility.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
