for the conuser right....but the question was would it hurt gw, and giving the clones access to one of their unique features i would say harms gw to a small degree.......but nothing major i don't think

this will would help make a rom loader that has 7.x encrypted game compatibility.....but it doesn't just make rom loading possible

The keys' uses have been said multiple times, probably once every page.

Jeez, people see "NEW 3DS HACK/LEAK/EXPLOIT/WAREZ" and their common sense goes flying out the window.

GW clones can play the newer games.

It doesn't mean FW4.5 and up are hacked to play backups.

I'm no expert, so feel free to correct me.

Well, he don't stolen the Key 7.x (Well, the key was stolen from GW Lanchuer, but whatever), but the RE of GW 1.0 was stolen from ernilos (And ernilos got the files from st4rk) (I don't care how much he will deny, there is evidences, so...)

again he never stole it watch and see

You can play the retail games with patches that were signed with 7.x or earlier.
That is the big problem for some.

Anyway if Sky3DS will be released if it is true then Gateway will probably copy them.

Has anyone mentioned what keyx actually is in this thread and why it's a big deal it's leaked? It's a seed for the hardware AES engine. Like, the only thing worth decapping a 3DS for. Really big deal, not changable, and used basically everywhere.

There are ways to decryp games already and no loader has been released so far. Why would this give any hope for rom launchers ???

you're mistaken; there's more than 1 "key" for the 3ds; this one in particular is the KeyX of keyslot 25.

still isn't the keyscrambler or the KeyY for keyslot 25.

read more on the AES registers before you make a fool of yourself again

The problem is, nothing in the 3DS hacking scene is truly definitive. I doubt there will be a viable ROM loader outside flashcards. This is why it's hard to place the entirety of one's hope in the hacking scene.

By the way you have that worded, it almost seems like you're implying KeyY is something special. It's just the first 16 bytes from the signature of the NCCH you're decrypting.

With the 7.0 fw keys out, does this mean that save encryption/decryption will work in emunand updates their code with the new keys so that say real pokemon carts work on emunand

Sorry, I got briefed on this once a few months ago after being thrown into a skype group full of people doing kernel stuff. I just tried to regurgitate what useful info I could remember but yeah, you're right. I figured this was for the keyscrambler, which would be a lot cooler.
