It says you can decrypt the games but then what. Can you use it to load the games etc?

someone decompiled gateway and got the 7.x keys, other cards like m-t card didn't have this hence why there has been no update from them. now the other cards don't have to do any work to release their next update as someone has just handed them the "secret" so to speak.......................sudeki300

It says you can decrypt the games but then what. Can you use it to load the games etc?

You can use it to extract assets like music and 3D models from newer games, at least. Probably leads to being able to modify newer roms (romhacks) as well.

Not really. Those were hackable since months and these keys doesn't make the work easier for those games in any form.

I posed about it in #3dsdev, no-one explicitly said "it's the real key" but the way everyone reacted essentially confirmed that it is.

well im assuming they didn't include any keys inside the release according to the NFO so is that out in the open anywhere?

From what I've gathered, this sounds like bad news for everyone? Except MT-Card users who can now play the games, is that right?

Not really bad news for anyone, expect maybe Gateway as they potentially lose out on an exclusive feature, and people who are against ROM hacking?
