I did a good progress today in the CPU in ARM(i just need write the readMemory and writeMemory in ARM-ASM too), i am still working on a WebSite and new GUI to emulator.

Anyway how i saw there is many people which is trying compile a 3dnes to .3dsx, i have a build here it should work(probably several bugs) but work with some games, i tried just Mega Man 1, Mega Man 2 and Super Mario Bros 3 and work fine with VSYNC Disable and Frameskip 2.

Here the download: http://filetrip.net/dl?0RylqpSfiy

Use the same guia(3DNES folder with folder SAVE/ROMS and put your roms), there is some issues in the ROM name because i didn't finished the gui and in the CPU has some instruction wrong(cycles and probably addressing mode which i wrong i am fixing it in the ARM Version).

Just a hint: Disable VSYNC would cause some issues on the game, i disable it and use Frameskip 2, you can go to setting menu just pressing left and configurate frameskip/vsync just left/right button and press A to back to game.

Ps: This is a olddest build and have some issues i just sended it to a friend to test, so probably some games won't work =p.

I am trying it, but no matter where I put my roms (in root of SD, in /3ds/3DNES/, in /3ds/3DNES/ROMS/, in /3ds/...) and the filename (SMB.nes or Super Mario Bros.nes), all I ever get is a black screen with "->"
What am I doing wrong?

should be like this;

root of sd/3dnes/Roms/

Thanks MajinCubyan, that worked.

The problem now is, apparently if you have more than the number of roms that can fit on the screen at once, it prints the filenames over the old ones. I have so many ROMs in the folder that the file list is an unreadable mash of several filenames at once.

No problem man.

Yeah, I just transferred all my roms from my PSPgo and just saw that myself. Crashed my 3DS. He did say it was an older version and the menu doesn't work quite right, so I assume right now we can't have a rom folder with like hundreds of roms. Gotta pick and choose. :P

Just wanna say that using the .3dsx version, the Mother 25th Anniversary hack runs pretty good! :closedeyes:

I was LITERALLY just gonna post that! I had it all typed up and I saw what you posted.

"Been messing around with this and I don't know if anyone has tested it but the 25th Anniversary hack of Mother works pretty damn good. (other than the lack of sound)

Gotta few screens for ya. (Sorry, my cell phone sucks...)"

Well, here are those screens;

I don't know why its posting so big either.

Nes virtual console games are in the make; just wanted to put this out here for gateway users. There is a website where nes games are in .cia format (I also have earthbound zero in .cia that is why I quoted this post). They run amazing and the guy who makes them is very welcoming.

I just always seem to forget that some people use ninjahax so they have no option but to use the emulator. Thanks for that st4ark.

Thanks for the .3dsx st4rk! :yaynds: Sure is buggy haha but that's fine I patiently await the next update :D For now at least I can play a few games though.

Very nice, with VSYNC enable or disable ? There is some instructions wrong on CPU I think because earthbound zero has some bugs(when I tested sometime ago).

About the rom name size, I know how fix it, I will do it in the new revision sorry :P

I tried it with both and hardly noticed any difference between them apart from a little jerkiness with it enabled.

One thing, not sure if this is an issue with the Ninjhax version, Mother or what, but I saved my game and when I went to load it, it wasn't there...

Final Fantasy II crashes the 3DS, but I and III are playable. VSYNC disabled.

Crystalis is playable but has some minor layer issues (instead of walking behind a wall, you just walk on it.) VSYNC disabled.

Rockman 3 and 5 Endless hacks work as well. VSYNC disabled. Little slow down but nothing that ruins the experience.

Ys has quite a few graphical issues, making it mostly unplayable. (The HUD for the HP and stuff doesn't display properly, graphics just appearing when they shouldn't. Can't read dialogue from NPC's.) Ys II is slightly more playable but still suffers from a few graphical hiccups. VSYNC disabled

Strider is also playable, a little slow but again, nothing that should really stop ya from playing the game.

Shinobi crashes the 3DS.

I like it so far man! Can't wait for version 2.0!
