Hi! Thats my new Homebrew App "3D Editor DS":

Download:3D Editor DS

This is a Application for the DS to make 3D-Models.
the current version is 0.2 and you can only create
single Polygons (Quad's and triangle), but you can
change the color for every polygon and for the
background, and save/load your 3d-models to a extern
file (model1.k3d - model5.k3d) on the root of your
flashcard.
DLDI Patch required! if you dont patch, the game freeze
when do you use the save/load function.

And it's work with Sodokuhax!

Controls:
use the D-Pad to navigate in the menu
select options with A and go back with B or START.
#Polygon edit Mode:
- move on the x- and z-axis with the D-PAD
- move up and down (y-axis) with A and B
- press X to select the 3 or 4 points of the polygon
-hold SELECT for more options:
-switch to another polygon with UP/DOWN
-switch between the color
values(Red,Green,Blue)with LEFT/RIGHT
-change the current color-value with A/B
#Free Cam Mode:
- use the D-Pad to look around
- move forward/backward with A/B
#Save/Load:
- select file with LEFT/RIGHT
- press A to save or load

changelog:
v.0.2:
- add save/load function
v.0.1:
-first release!

What's the limit for total on-screen polygons?

I have set the max. polygons to 60, but i can expand the limit.
60 polygons are not many, but i plan to make options in the game to create boxes and
other things.

That's good!

I know this may be asking a lot but it would be cool to be able to save a screenshot or maybe even record simple animations.

This should become a Homebrew bounty entry.

Actually saving a screenshot wouldn't be all that hard. There's a libnds example that does just that, it's in examples/nds/Graphics/capture if you're interested King Dodongo. [IMG]
The only drawback is that it would effectively eat up a whole main vram bank, but since you don't seem to be using any textures at the moment, it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Don't know anything, really, about developing games/apps, but this looks like a pretty impressive tool. Congrats. I look forward to watching it evolve.

This is actually a really good idea to develop! This should also sort of go to the Homebrew Bounties, because it aids devs more than..... homebrewers [IMG]
