it works great i just have one problem now went and bought drum set for rock band and a guitar it will not sync seems like nothing i use through the usb works tried it on other wii's tooo still same problem thought i got bad equipment sent it back got new and the same thing is there a fix for this THANKS

Although I'm confused on one thing.

Its about Step 1 & 2.
Do we have to use BOTH IOS and cIOS downgrader for our Wii to be downgraded or can we just use one of those two and go straight to step 3?

Hi! I just wanted to say thanks, it is a really great guide, I am quite a noob, not the kinda noob that ask before reading, more the one that reads too much... I was kinda nervous at first, when I though about downgrading... but after reading the... 16+ pages you got with like 99,99% people saying: everything went great!!! or... Oh! dumb me, I left the GC something plugged in... I though: Hey! I can do it too!

So here, you have all my gratitude and... well as someone said: Thanks for all you people who take time for the others... I mean you really have no "real" fame, like you, Emperor of Canada, you could be my neighbor and I wouldn't know, but you're still here making this world better, that is the true HELP!

So now i ve burned Mario Party and Mario and sonic at olimpycs on verbatim -r dvd and both work awsome. I have a question thoug, can i lay mario kart online or will that get my wii bricked? Thx again!

online play is of no danger. Just don't ever upgrade your wii or you'll be back to square 1

Thx for your reply. So if can play online without problems i guess i can use all the online functions (wii shop, news channel, browser etc.) as long as i don't upgrade?

I still have the sound effects (selecting a channel, selecting start on a channel, moving cursos thru a channel) only that song is missing...

Starfall, check if you have the "Remove BGM" hack installed

yesterday I up and downgraded three Wii's succesfully.

I ran into some problems with the original guide though, so I also want to thank Kroam17 and ether2802 for their contributions on the problem with a 3.1E without a prior cIOS installed, and afif95 for his contribution on the problem with not being able to install cios_fix.wad.

yesterday I up and downgraded three Wii's succesfully.

Yes you can use your originals. For updates, that's when Starfall comes in. Install "Skip disc update" hack and you'll be playing your originals in no time

You need both of them.

IOS Downgrader downgrades your IOS so it would be trucha-bugged.

cIOS Downgrader downgrades your firmware

I did successfully install HBC on my 3.4 Wii, but do I need to downgrade the firmware to get the full features of the HBC applications? If so would you give me the link to download the downgrader and instruction please.
