2DS games and 3DS games are the same thing. There are no patches to make a DS flashcart work with 2DS/3DS games. If you want to play 3DS games on your system via flashcart, you'll need a Sky3DS flashcart.

2DS games are 3DS games. The 2DS is just a cheaper model of the 3DS. The Dsi isn't strong enough to run them anyway.
3DS games do not work on the DSi (XL)/DS Lite/ DS Phat. 2DS is just a 3DS without the 3D feature, therefore, 2DS games don't work on anything other than a 3DS/2DS and there is no patch to fix this.
If you want to play 3DS games, buy a 3DS (XL), New 3DS (XL), or a 2DS.
If you want to play 3DS games, buy a 3DS (XL), New 3DS (XL), or a 2DS.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.
