Hello all
I have a 2ds old style black and blue
Anyway purchased as faulty
And would like to get this up and running again
The unit powers up (blue led shows )
No change from the screen and no sound
I’ve opened it up hoping to replace the WiFi board but this seems to be a newer design and does not have one
Any idea where I should start?
I’ve tried removing the Sd card but no use
Many thanks in advance

You are going to want to start at looking at ntrboot as it sounds bricked. If there is no popping noise when you turn it on. should mean that the ribbon cables are set correctly. Ntrboot does need a compatible flashcard to boot the console with.

Assuming you already tried holding (Select), (Start) and (⌂ Home) while booting and recovery mode without any luck:

I agree with lone_wolf323… If it is a software problem (and for some hardware problems as well) it should be possible to start GodMode9 with ntrboot. For example uninstalling CFW after critical modifications gives this result: Blue LED stays on, no sound, no image, no backlight.

Yes, I just tried it. If you do not already have a compatible flashcart, I suggest the R4i Gold 3DS Plus.
