Is it possible to use cartridges and downloaded games to go back to the latest version? Such as with one game upgrades you to 4 one updates to 9 and so on? I am starting to regret my decision in cfw.

Only if you have an Old 3DS, but doing so is definitely not recommended. Perform a ctrtransfer to get to 9.2.0 instead.

you shouldn't do this, I recommend installing a9lh from here (and going through with cfw). even if you decide to go back for whatever reason, installing a9lh before that is the best choice so you can restore a nand backup(DON'T do 9.2 ctrtransfer unless you don't have a working backup)

What exactly are you trying to do? Have you installed A9LH, or is that what you're having trouble with?

I am trying to install a9lh. I am also trying to install the arm11 hack from the browser but I get nothing but a black screen.

Follow this. If the browser exploit isn't working, ensure that you have the correct files in your a9lh folder on the root of your SD (those from data_input_v3.zip and from the latest release of arm9loaderhax), as well as arm9.bin, arm11.bin, and SafeA9LHInstaller.dat (from the latest fork of SafeA9LHInstaller), as well as the Luma3DS arm9loaderhax.bin, on the root of your SD. If you get a glitched screen after loading the browser exploit, just press Select and arm9loaderhax will be installed (as long as you have the correct files in the correct locations).

Also, it would help if explained how the exploit isn't working.
