ROM Hack 1mb save Heart Gold Akaio

Ive got a acekard with akaio 1.6rc1, and 17 hours through pokemon i have started getting corrupt save files quite alot, i mean i can usually solve this by copying the file into pokesav and re-saving it but this isnt a long term solution. i think it has something to do with the 1mb save file that it needs similar to the japanese version of the game and also pokemon platinum.
So the question is how can i pad it out to 1mb or how do i get akaio to save a 1mb save file?

Ah sorry didn't address the question. You can use 1mb saves with padding and akaio will still read them normally.

If youre using pokesav that could be your problem. Ive put 22 hours into the same game, same cart, same firmware without one corrupt sav.

ive used 4bit to 8bit and well the game still works with a 1mbit save file so ill keep it like this, i mean it cant do any harm, thanks room

maybe it detect wrong type of save format.
I using 8m save type.
