Well, damn. I'm on 11.1 now and can't select any titles with homebrew apps, such as svdt. (They all freeze on the yellow screen.)
I can still use the save manager cia on my A9LH 2DS, however, I can no longer edit save files of digital titles on my non A9LH console.
Does anybody know if any dev said how "fixable" this is?

Edit: HANS is dead as well. Oh boy, this is bad. I'm on a EUR New 3DS XL, if that matters in any way.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the 3ds hacking scene, and I need help. I updated to 11.1.0.34 (missclick, bruh). I saw that the payload has been updated, but how do I replace it manually ?
I'm using v*hax
Thanks !
v*hax requires an exploit update that hasn't been released, to my knowledge.
If you're referring to /r/3dshack's thread about the *hax payload being updated // smea's twitter post, that's only for the homebrew launcher.

Edit: HBL recieves the payload update automatically.

There is no proper reason to update to 11.1, especially this early, so you should have stayed were you was. Reflash a 11.0 backup, if 11.1 does not suit you're needs.

I have told everyone I know not to upgrade for now, its better this way at the moment, just like with JB an iOS device, just wait for now.

I don't really care that much about it. I can still do most of the stuff I could do before, also, my New 3DS has no A9LH so I can't flash a nand.
Btw, to clear things up, selecting titles only fails on my New 3DS with steelhax, but works on my 2DS with hb_launcherloaderhax. Now the question is, is it a CFW, an old / new 3DS or an entrypoint thing?

Yeah, but the problem is, a certain majority of users see a update and then jump on it asap without weighing up the pros and cons and then suffer the consequences, instead of letting the experienced users and devs of the community to figure stuff out first.

I use OOT3DHAX after DSiWare dongrade, but sysdowngrade tool didnt work (am: error). After it, OOT3DHAX stop working (when i try to run hax from game -screen freezez and i got an error about "blah blah stop working, now console reboot") and i try to use freakyhax (which works fine, but only after OOT3DHAX booting). After i just install steelhax and make stable encryptpoint for trying downgrade with sysdowngrader tool.
Sry for bad ENG, i just try to share my expirience.

Yup I deal with people like that all the time at work haha see an update they jump for it and wonder why their program doesn't work...

If my understanding is correct, oot3dhax worked until sysDowngrader gave an error and then you eventually ended up using steelhax to finish the downgrade? I skipped freakyhax because I don't have that.

I think its simple. OOT3DHAX works fine, but its better to make another encryptpoint to be safety (like steelhax). It can be unluck for me (errors from OOT). I dont think that OOT3DHAX depend of sysdowngrader tool errors.

System: O3DS 4.5, Gateway, 11.1 emunand (!!don't update this if you haven't!!)

It's surprising to me, but even if you updated emunand to 11.1, while .3ds files cannot be launched, installing and running .cia games seems to be working perfectly. Just tested a new install and an already installation, both super new titles too.

I just thought it was worth mentioning, sorry if this is an obvious fact. If you already installed a .cia manager, you aren't completely locked out of your 3DS even if you accidentally updated the emunand.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
