ROM Hack [WIP] Rune Factory 4: Gay Lest/Lesbian Frey Mod

Yeah, there's definitely some kind of issue with the menu sprites, though I don't know if it's restricted to the undub. The same face glitch happens on the loading screen of my normal version, when using the gender swap patch above. In-game, however, it seems to all work properly, at least for...

ROM Hack [Release] Animal Crossing New Leaf Multi Cheat NTR Plugin

This is a neat plugin and all, very powerful and versatile, but it is far too eager to corrupt saves, especially if an event occurs like a daily transition or anything involving auto-saving. It's so risky, it's almost more trouble to use than its worth, since it routinely corrupts my saves...

ROM Hack [Release] ultraSuMoFramework - NTR Plugin for Ultra SuMo

I whipped up a quick n dirty little Natures diagram bmp for the plugin in-game guide. If you make a folder in the plugin directory, like: /plugin/00040000001B5000/Guide/ then dump this bitmap in the Guide directory, it will show up when you select "guide" from the select menu.

    Hacking NTRBoot Released!

On the NTRBoot page they have a listing of which DSTT chipsets are purported to work with the program. You can either run the DSTTFlashwriter (or fakechecker) to see what chipset is on it, or just crack the card open and look at the PCB. The chip should be labeled. Mine has the SST39LF/VF400A...

    Hacking NTRBoot Released!

I decided to try the ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher.nds method from my R4i, to write NTRBoot to the DSTT, since that program too is officially updated to support DSTT and some people reported success where NTRBoot Flasher failed. Unfortunately I ran into the same problem as when I tried to use NTRBoot...

    Hacking NTRBoot Released!

Yep, it officially did, thanks for your heartfelt concern. And I guess I now a thing or two about debug and troubleshoot, because I used DsttFlashWriter.nds to restore a factory firmware to my DSTT, and it works properly as a flashcard again. Now I can feel free to experiment some more...

    Hacking NTRBoot Released!

Welp, I borked my DSTT. I tried NTRBoot with my R4i gold, and it worked perfectly, from beginning to end. Dumped FW, flashed NTRBoot, tested booting into B9S, restored the card firmware, back to working as usual with no issues. Tried it with my legit DSTT, made a backup successfully (supposedly)...

    Homebrew SNES9x for Old 3DS

I started using Ramzinouri's version today, and I love it, I really love it. Compatibility is great, speed is great, even sound is great, and it's not a hateful, convoluted configuration mess like Libretro. :P I'd like to have a fast forward, but as it is, I'm pleasantly surprised by this...

ROM Hack Disney Magical World 2 editing money

Don't ask how or why I was forced to discover this, but the offsets are the same for the USA version save files in case anyone was wondering.

ROM Hack [Release] SUMOHaX - Pokemon Sun/Moon NTR Plugin [Version 1.1 Supported]

For anyone who was curious but lazy, or stuck on an o3DS: Screencaps with and without outlines. Note, you have to leave an area and enter a new one for the graphics to refresh and the lines to appear or disappear after enabling the code.

ROM Hack [Release] SUMOHaX - Pokemon Sun/Moon NTR Plugin [Version 1.1 Supported]

Actually it doesn't. You'll see the pokemon in the fight as shiny, but if you try to steal it, it will show up in your box non-shiny. (At least for me it did)

ROM Hack [Release] SUMOHaX - Pokemon Sun/Moon NTR Plugin [Version 1.1 Supported]

It's not really made clear in the FAQ or Readme, but you don't have to "Enable Plugin" for this in NTR's menu. If you have all the files in the right place, just press Select (or I think it's Start now, maybe) in-game to activate the trainer menu.

ROM Hack [Release] SUMOHaX - Pokemon Sun/Moon NTR Plugin [Version 1.1 Supported]

I did read the README, and this is what it says on the topic: I never said the info wasn't there. I said it wasn't clarified. "Press [Select] to shows up the menu" doesn't really explain much. I understand what it means NOW, but it didn't make sense at the time. BTW, I'm a fan of your Multi...

ROM Hack [Release] SUMOHaX - Pokemon Sun/Moon NTR Plugin [Version 1.1 Supported]

Whew! After going round and round, convinced something was wrong with my 3DS or my NTR install, I finally read through half the thread to discover you need to press "Select" to activate the NTR plugin, not X+Y then "Enable Plugin." I was totally confused why the option wasn't there for me in my...

ROM Hack [Release] AGB_FIRM Signature Patcher + GBA ROM Converter

I'm on aureinand sysnand 10.7 and this method worked perfectly for me. GBA VC wasn't working before, I used 3DNUS to grab the relevant file, patched it with the little standalone IPS patcher, applied it to my 3DS with FBI, and now GBA VC works. Thanks!!

Homebrew Nintendo Badge Arcade: Badges Collection

Now that GYTB handles large badges (64x128,128x128, etc), I wonder if we could get a repackage, but include the ones that got cut up and shrunk into single 64x64 icons, like the Majora Moon? I noticed some of the individual contributors' rars, like the one Binebina87 posted, already include...

Gaming Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart(J) Cheats

So yeah, I know this thread is old as hell, but I just started playing this game this weekend, and I converted some of dregnox's codes above (and some others I stumbled across online) over to PAR V3 format for use in GPSP. Maybe these will help some random passerby:

I agree....swagbucks sucks major arse NOW.... But last year it was pretty awesome. I was getting ~15$ a month in amazon cards, just by piddling with their search bar now and again. But as pyramid schemes go, they're finally reaching a suitably large userbase that prize giveaways are few and...

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
