Sorry to bother for the umpteenth time, but I had already asked about Formula One Arcade (with no answer) which on PSP crashes after the loading screen. It is a European game (SCES ID), and so I have tried with two EU IDs of Resident Evil 2, but there is always the same problem after loading screen. The iso is from the famous "romantic" site that we know well. I have the impression that this title has special protection (libcrypt?), like other european games. Does anyone here have a solution?
Or maybe it had already been found, but I missed it?
Thanks again, and then you will see that I will not bother you anymore. 😉

Thanks for the help. After some test i found out 1.1 version does have the antipiracy trigger too (with CRC 7af84f63). But the way to trigger is different: using cheat codes like the widescreen game shark cheat. Without using cheat codes, the game didn't trigger anything up to the third world. Thanks again for the help.

Good to know, thank you very much for the test, I remember playing it a while ago and having no problems, but as I actually finished this game on a PS1 Console with MM3, I wasn't sure how it would work on a PSVITA.

Thanks for testing, if you finish the game or find any protection issues, you would be very welcome to let us know here.

I saw that there is also a Patch for Paradox from the year 2000. It doesn't say if it is for 1.0 or 1.1 it is reported as 100% functional. If you still have problems, you can try using it. Hugs.

It's ok. 😁

This is another one of the PS1 games I've never heard of, I can do some tests. Hugs

EDIT:
Formula One Arcade.

I don't believe this game has LibCrypt, nothing is listed about it, I ran a bunch of tests, unfortunately it didn't work. I have other alternatives than GAMEID to try to circumvent these games, as I did with Jackie Chan S., but it requires much more time analyzing LBAs/Sectors/Dumps etc. And this I do using HEX HxD. The main IDs known to us here were tested, and there are still hundreds more lol..

Attention:

I recommend everyone to see this topic about an excellent work done by wad11656, he created a GUI for the SetRegion program that is used a lot for corrections / PS1 games compatibility increase with PSP and PSVita, with this work, now all may try to repair their own games and share our attempts.

Do we have some kind of list of games that were broken, but now not?
Going through this thread you could probably form a good list. There's probably still more games that previously required POPSLoader that could instead be fixed with a JAP Game ID on POPS 6.60/6.61 (and thus be made playable on Vita) that have yet to be discovered

@The_Ho Thanks for your efforts and for sharing the fixes with us! I lost hope for Sled Storm a while back and I am really glad it works better now on Vita :).
I wanted to ask if you think there is a chance to have a fix for Road Rash or for the missing music in Need For Speed 3.
Thanks!

Fix for:

International Superstar Soccer PRO 98 [USA] For PS_Vita.

The same error did not occur on the PSP for me, but if it occurs for someone else maybe this will solve it too.

=====
If the game crashes in Adrenaline on the screen:

"Now creating game options file on the Memory Card.
Various game settings will be automatically saved from
now on."

Replace the save files with SCEVMC0.VMP and SCEVMC1.VMP by these, inside the game saves directory on vita: \pspemu\PSP\SAVEDATA\SLUS00674

Glad you liked it. I already checked these games for a brief period, and they are already cataloged for who knows, one day a solution will appear.

is there a remotely easy (as in, no hex editor shenanigans) way to fix a game like this?
i can't play digimon world 3 on adrenaline. Luckily it's the only game so far that gave me troubles

I've tried this method with digimon world 2003 and it failed. I got as far as the boot image that usually says the safety stuff about PSP, then it crashes as it did before i did the whole "set JAP region" thing.
Any ideas?

I think it's best to play on the 2003 version, and if you're using a Vita, Retroarch might be a better solution.

For this Digimon 2003 to run well you will need a normal EBOOT, where you will play to Asuka City and create a save, after you will use another EBOOT with GAMEID: SLES00972, to continue the game, the game runs well but the rendering is kind of slow and I can't say for sure if the crashes stop altogether. I've already done a test forcing the crashes and the game didn't crash, I can't inform you later if there are problems. Because it's a long game with random issues, with virtually no people claiming to have truly finished the game on PSP or Vita, I haven't created an EBOOT on this scheme yet.

i didn't finish the game but i did get pretty far, up until some error erased my save and i never played it again on PSP.
I dunno about VITA it's starting to sound like too much of a hassle. I just can't make it run, 2003, DW3, the jap-injected version, anything. It all fails

Digimon World 2003 [EU] Patch

Patch Application:

- It will be necessary to have a .bin file of the game with:

CRC: 007DF18E
SHA 1: 457cb233349ba841e03b33d8060f8fbcadd45cb3

- Apply Patch directly to .bin file.
- After applying the patch, rename your .bin file to EBOOT.PBP (change the extension to .PBP).
- Put the EBOOT inside a folder and move it to the PSP/PSVita.

Game Instructions:

The EBOOT contains 2 CDs, the first CD is what will be used to actually play and the second CD is just to be able to perform the initial selection of Digimons then:

Enter the game and switch to the second CD, play normally to Asuka City and create a Save in Asuka Inn, now return to CD 1, load the game and continue the game normally.

Use Restart to change CDs.

OBS: The game that is on the second CD had several parts ripped by me, to reduce the size of the final file, the intention of the second CD is just to circumvent the Crash of the initial selection of Digimons, I do not recommend the continuation of the game through the second CD.

==============

I tested the game for about 2 hours and constantly visited the locations:

Plug Cape
Shell Beach
Central Park
Wire Forest
Asuka City
Undergound Path
Asuka Sewers

Among others less often.
There was no crash.
I can't say how it works further on, it's a very big game and there's no time for further testing.

Sorry my mistake, accelerated? What do you mean?

Okay, I would change the game frequency to reduce the rendering slow, but I thought it didn't look very good, so I left it as it is.

=========================

I hope this game works well for my future. Gave me some problems with the woman because of the attention lol... work Digimon or I'll hate you. :rofl2:

DW2003_60hz_PSP_PSvita

Must be applied directly to EBOOT created with previous DW2003 Patch for PSP/Vita.

Virtually everything in the game was sped up (Too much), unfortunately minus the rendering lag.

OBS: It can be controlled with the VSH clock.
