I plugged it in and it lit up and when I ran flash.bat it said No device detected! and then the lights stopped. What is going on with it and why did the lights stop?

Send a picture of how you have it plugged in.

We probably need to reseat the connector and make sure the little flap is folded over nice and tight. Just have to go step at a time. When you plug it in to your PC, do you see anything in Device Manager?

e: look for so,ething called UF2
e2: also pay close attention to the flashing lights. The GitHub page has diagnostics based on their flashing colors.

What do you mean Device Manager? I ran flash.bat that I got from this https://github.com/hwfly-nx/firmware/tree/master
Is that how I am supposed to do it or am I doing it wrong?

Just FYI, your point B isn't soldered and that's probably why your switch is not booting up

So the guy did it wrong?
This guy scammed you

He didn’t even install the modchip properly and said you had to “program” it yourself when it would have taken him like 30 seconds

Sounds like he just wanted to try modding a system but couldn’t figure it out, so he tried to make a quick buck instead

I was so focused on the USB port…didn’t even see this. Great eye man!

Now that you've pointed it out, is it just me or are none of the eMMC wires connected?

Unless he went the extra mile and soldered the wires behind the board for a clean look, it doesn’t look like any of the wires are soldered at all. I highly doubt it though cause the bent CPU cover and debris everywhere doesn’t strike me as the work of a perfectionist.

Not even any power or ground. Must be pulling just enough power through the ribbon cable to make it light up.

@Sheeba-
Highly recommend getting you money back and taking your Switch to a competent installer for repair.

It seems like the seller is using the ribbon cable that comes with new chips now.
It's the same thing as the one they used to include with V3 so personally I wouldn't recommend using it as it puts pressure on your fragile A and D points.

Oh…I see it now. My bad. I need to quit mouthing off about OLED installs as I’ve only done regular V2.

That said, I still recommend getting a refund and taking it elsewhere.

If he scammed you this badly what makes you think he can actually do the job? Heck, I'd expect the guy to be gone by now.
Get your money back if you can, but find another competent installer.

I’d just ask for a refund. The dude barely did the bare minimum to get it installed. Like who installs a modchip without at least programming the firmware too it that it needs to work

Alright I will and is the mod chip damaged? Can it be taken out and someone else can do it?

It wasn’t doing anything so it should be fine. Hopefully it wasn’t an accident that caused your guy to stop the install. Best way to tell is to have someone install it properly and see.
