Gaming Do you avoid old games that are only playable in 30fps or less?

I used to not care at all about framerates until I played Dark Souls 2 on the PS3 at 30fps, I reached the Fume Knight and couldn't beat him after a few dozen attempts. Then a couple years later I played the PS4 version at 60fps, fought him again and managed to beat him without struggling nearly as much as I did with the PS3 version. It feels as if doubling the framerate from 30 to 60 also doubles your time to react, even though actions still happen in the same timespan.

For the most part I'll go for a higher framerate if possible, but if a game that I'm interested in only runs at 30fps or lower then I'll just play it that way and probably enjoy it just as much as any higher fps game.

When I first started gaming 20fps didn't bother me but when games started running at 30 I couldn't go back to 20. Games running below 30 just feel uncomfortable to play and I can't enjoy them anymore.

30 FPS is quite playable. I will always look for a 60 FPS patch, but if there isn't one, it's not gonna stop me from playing a game I like.

I had to play PC games at 30-40 FPS for the longest time because I didn't have a powerful gaming PC. As long as the framerate doesn't drop below 30, it's not that bad.

The bigger problem is games with frequent framerate drops or games that run at 20 FPS (or less), like so many N64 games did. They are kind of tough to enjoy, the framerate becomes a constant distraction/annoyance at that point.
Zelda OoT/MM are so much more enjoyable with a 30 FPS patch. Despite causing a lot of cutscene softlocks, I still rather play them in 30 FPS and toggle it off whenever I encounter a crash.
I played through the entirety of OoT with the Redux patch and 30 FPS turned on for most of the time. I probably encountered 20-30 cutscene softlocks. But the moment I turned it off to pass the cutscene, I immediately wanted to turn it back on again. The extra 10 FPS makes all the difference, even if it sometimes lagged on my Analogue 3D. I couldn't go back to playing it vanilla.
