Are there any Phantasy Star Online players here? You may know that the game can still be played online, and it works fine on the Switch through flycast.

What you need is a modified iso called Ives Enhanced Pack found in PSO Ives Pack 2.0 made by PSO Palace. No linking here but use Google. This will automatically connect to Sylverant server.

Maybe we can write up a list of interested people and arrange some online PSO sometime.

Though it's been a year since you posted this, i'm currently trying to get online with Ives-Pack... Unfortunatly, at least for me it does not work (Connection failed when trying to get online). Could it be that sysftp or mitm.dns be blocking some necessary ports?

Flycast has recently been added to the latest Lakka nightlies. This brings huge performance benefits over the Flycast core found in the regular Retroarch for Switch.

-Support for Vulkan renderer
-Significantly faster 3D performance due to utilising the official Nvidia L4T drivers
-Superior performance in 2D games that previously has severe issues such as Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Atomiswave games etc.

It is beyond the scope of this thread to explain how to use Lakka, please use the Lakka thread for more general Lakka support. However, just copy the 'bootloader' and 'lakka' folders to the root of the SD card, then boot into Hekate and load Lakka through 'More Configs'->'Lakka'.

You can use your existing roms, bioses, saves etc. form regular Retroarch, there is no need to duplicate. Go to Settings->Directory and feel free to point System/BIOS, File Browser, Thumbnails, Save Files, Save States etc. to the folders in your regular Retroach directory. Browse to '/' then 'flash' to access the regular Switch directories.

To load your regular roms from Load Content, go to '/', then 'flash' and then to wherever you store your roms.

Information in second OP post will be updated later.

It appears that the newest version of the flycast core on retroarch doesn't seem to have online multiplayer capabilities anymore.

Is Lakka still the way to go or is the standalone/RA version of Flycast now equal? If Lakka is still best, how do you return to Atmosphere? Does it have a reboot to payload feature?

So, I tested some Dc Games with Retroarch newest Flycast Core.
I clocked the CPU to 1200. This should be safe?I am never going higher than that.

Games have some Slowdowns but 99 %
precent they running fine.

Dead or Alive 2 -very good but sometimes there are slowdowns

Capcom Vs Snk 2 - Nearly Perfect

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 - Running worse.. unplayable ( hope this will be fixed)

King of the Fighters 99 Dream Match - Perfect

Project Justice Rival School 2 - Perfect

Zombie Revenge - a few graphic glitches but running fine else - very good

Cannon Spike - Just Perfect

House of the Dead 2 - Perfect

Dynamite Cop - nearly Perfect

Powerstone 2 - Perfect
