I bought an Acekard 2 in August. I put all of the AKAIO files on but it started refusing to play some of the games that had originally woked on my R4. I looked it up and changed all the file extentions. This did not work and after looking at the rom settings it says DS program file instead of the game name.
You might have patched the game to work with the R4 try and find a new copy of the rom that is clean and should work correctly with the latest 1.8.1 akaio loader

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
