SOLVED:
Godmode9i will create 2 .sav files, one in the 'out' folder and another in a sub folder 'saves'
Just had to move the game.sav to my 'saves' folder (in my roms) and game.nds to my roms folder.

Again, This is not restoring a save file to a game card.

I have dumped NSMB to my DSi. I want to restore my save file to the dumped ROM.
Most guides don't show how or explain if it's possible.

Do I need to use another tool besides Godmode9i?

edit:
I've got the save file dumped but how do I move the save file to the ROM I dumped on my SD card.

edit 2:
Total brain fart but since two .sav files are created I think the game ignores both or opening the dumped rom creates a new save file that superseded the original. Either way it's not hard and I have all my Pokémon saves on my sd card as well.

Save files are not inside the rom itself. If you want to get the save file that was in your cart, you need to extract it as well (like, to play in a flashcard or emulator). I used to do it with a wifi tool, but I'm unsure if you can do it with GM9i.

most emulators/flash carts just name the save file the exact same thing as the rom and put it in the same folder, "Sims 3.nds/Sims 3.sav", pretty sure twilight menu does the same as well?
