I cannot post links due to newcomer status, but:

github.***/ps4boot/ps4boot.github.io

replace *** with com

Also, this is for the new version, the old one is no longer
hosted online. Maybe this new one work though, I don't
know because I haven't tested it.

Few tips for 6.72:

  • Loaders that are confirmed to work for CUH-1004A:
https://leeful.github.io/672/index.html
https://ps4boot.github.io/

  • Remember of proper JB order:
JB > MIRA > Linux
If you o not load MIRA before Linux payload, PS4 will simply turn off.

  • Boot Issues:
If you receive prompt with message "root" is empty it means kernel was loaded all fine but gentoo OS system partition is not visible.
- try reconnecting disk - maybe plugging to another USB port and type "resume-boot"
- if it doesn't help. check if your system partition is detected with 'fdisk -l' - it's usually "/dev/sda2" (/dev/sda1 is init partition with kernel).
- If it's detected, check if /dev/sda2 has label "gentoo". Set up label with command tune2fs –L gentoo /dev/sda2 and then resume-boot

  • Additional exFat partition for PKGs, Emu etc:
If you want to add extra partition, you can resize gentoo partition to how big you want (make sure label "gentoo" is not wiped as init looks for partiton labeled "gentoo" as OS).
Put exFat partition however large you want.
install exFat support:
emerge --ask sys-fs/fuse-exfat
emerge --ask sys-fs/exfat-utils

This way you have 3 partitions. Init (Fat32) + OS (Ext4) that are not detectable by Console and exFat detectable both by WIndows PC and console so you can put Retroarch data in there, PKGs etc. hence you have universal drive.
Remember to mount partition either with startup mounting point with /etc/fstab ...or by clicking on your partition in Nautilus file browser.
Your partition should be mounted in /run/media/ps4/

...As cifs support is not added to kernel (yet), I have failed wwith other samba client mounting methods :(

You don't need to load mira with my menu. You can just load the exploit and then the linux payload. I just tried it now and it worked without mira.

@Leeful When I tried at https://ps4boot.github.io/ without MIRA, it ALWAYS turned my console off. Even PM'd Cedsaill if something changed in payload ...and he replied if I'm running MIRA before Linux payload or not and I should do so ;)

...and I don't mean console crashed. It loaded payload alright, but instead properly reboot to Linux, it just turned off. Spent few hours trying to figure it out, re flashing my external HDD etc. Simply for your own sake, load MIRA before Linux payload :)

It has always worked fine for me without loading mira.

But as always with PS4 related hacks, if you have your own stable way of doing things stick with it.:)
Same here, I can load Linux without loading Mira.
Has there been any improvements in networking? Is there a .bin payload for use with Netcat locally?
