If you don't want to jump through hoops trying to return it for a replacement, just throw Retrogamefan Multi-Cart Update or TWiLight Menu++ on it. Both should work.

Which one is the new/clone for you? I’d guess the one on the right based on it looking like the AliExpress DSONEs I have but the contacts look super dirty. The one on the left looks nothing like any DSONE I’ve seen though. Particularly the battery placement is where the old Supercard DS’s capacitor was and the CoB/glob-top ASIC isn’t anything I’ve seen on a DSONE.
Today i received my flashcard supercard ds one,in 1 hour i will setting up everything and testing it. Cross Fingers my unit its a good one and less defective.

The old DS ONE is on the left, the right one is the new clone. Contacts aren't super dirty IRL, it's just a weird reflection. I'm also a bit weirded out by the blob and the random R4 print on the old DS ONE, but I have it CIB and everything else looks okay and matches the box of the DS TWO I also have.
I would actually guess that it's a later revision. Glob top usually indicates a purpose made ASIC with more development time vs some off the shelf SMD package. Of course there are exceptions to this.

Otherwise, I remember that the original DS One SDHC had to be flashed to make it functional. The device used was called the SuperMate. Would it be possible to flash an other firmware to make it compatible with the DSi and the 3DS? I guess it's almost impossible without having the source code of the original firmware. It would be interesting to compare the motherboard of the DS One SDHC with the DS One i to know if the firmware of the DS One i can be ported to the DS One SDHC.

Huh? Are you saying there are DS flashcarts that won't ever work with the DSi or 3DS, even with ntrlauncher or the equivalent?
Or are you saying it's not on the blacklist and works on stock firmware?
The non i dsone carts could not be updated to work on the dsi so they had to release a new updatable version.

Really? I checked my clone DSONE cart from aliexpress into three DSi (one EU, two JP) and my cart doesn't work together with the stock DSi launcher. I get only a black screen at boot, with message 'an error occured, reboot please' (or something like that).
If I use unlaunch (a+b button at boot), the cart boots and works fine... BUT, if I do the supercard test (right/left/up button at boot), I get some PSRAM errors.
So I guess in order to check if the cart is really fine, we need to do the supercard diag test, isn't it?
Edit: Just tried the DSONEi updater, doesn't work. Firmware on my cart is eng. 1.01

they is DSONE which works with DS and DS Lite which is called DSONE
when Nintendo released DSi this blocked that flashcart.
So Supercard had to release a new one which works with DSi called DSONE i
but that DSONE i also works with 3DS.
so this is DSONE i clone. im talking about all the way when DSi was released over a decade ago.

For anyone curious, my refund request through AliExpress, despite providing ample evidence, has been declined... unsurprisingly. I'm attempting to contact the seller off-site but that's not looking too promising either. Everyone should be warned that buying one of these, if you want to use Dsone EOS, is a massive gamble.
