I finally decided to hack my Switch Lite, and searched all over online to posts from around 2019. Back in those posts it says that Switch Lite hacking isn't currently available - but now that it's 2021, is there any way to add Homebrew to the Switch Lite, or if not, is there any news about Switch Lite hacking without having to open up the system?

In Venezuela the technicians are charging 200 dollars to install the chip in a Switch Lite. In other countries the same price?

Including the chip for $200? I won't say it's expensive for now as the chip is out of stock for obvious reasons. Pure soldering job cost like $10 for some Asian regions.

In some places it'd be cheaper to buy a hackable Switch than buying a Lite + mod chip.

I was gonna say your like a year or 2 late, ironically the modchips themselves are the reason TX is dead but yeah buying an old hackable switch is your best option in terms of future cfw support. The modchip just isn't worth the hassle.

just buy a v1 and keep that for online subscription of your fav game

Here in Venezuela for now it is cheaper to be legal for now. Buying a used console is worth over $ 200 too. I have had the opportunity to get good deals on the European and American nintendo eshop. Thanks to my family who are living abroad.

The only physical game I have so far is Fire Emblem Three House, I am not selling physical games, most of them preserved.

Someday the Switch will be completely hacked on all of its models. It does not matter if by that time it is already discontinued. Not a device is saved. I will wait for the rumored Switch Pro model if it ever exists.

Just save yourself the trouble or the wait and get an unpatched unit instead.

So basically updated Switch Lite is not hackable without modchips yet, is that correct? What about the new OLED model?
