I don't often ask for help, I can usually get whatever I need working if I Google hard enough, but I've been working on this for about five hours straight and am about to go mad.

This all started with trying to delete the update for FF8 so I could revert to v1.0 to better use cheats in Edizon. Found out that the switch remembers installed updates and requires them to boot the game. This led me on a search for solutions to resetting the launch version. Looks like I could do a system format, but would rather save that as a last ditch effort. There's an option in Goldleaf to reset it, but like others, it didn't work for me.

Found a lot of info pointing to the DevMenu being the best option. I initially used SXOS (Now use Kosmos) on my switch and I remember using Pokemon Quest to install and access it. I can't remember at all how and probably don't have those instructions or files anymore. I still have Quest installed, but it just boots the game now. So, after some digging, I found two different versions of the DevMenu NSP; 6.x and 6.xV2.

Goldleaf, Awoo, and Tinleaf won't install either one. All basically give the same NCA error and mentions sigpatches or too low firmware. I've been able to install other NSPs fine within the last couple days, but not this one. I was able to get Lithium to install it, but there was just a white square with a spinning icon where the Menu should have been installed. Unsurprisingly, I also can't run the app. I tried installing through USB with Quark, NX-Loader, and Fluffy, on all HB apss but none worked. Same with installing from CD card. I'm on the latest version of Kosmos (v16) and Horizon 10.0.1

This may also be impossible, which I could accept, but that's why I'm reaching out at this point. I'm groping in the dark.

I'm mentally exhausted and just need some help or a point in the right direction. I really appreciate any advice.

Thank you so much

Dev menu doesn't work on 10.0 and above anyway, so afaik if deleting update with goldleaf doesn't reset the ver. requirements (i guess it doesn't), so you are basically forced to update to the required version in order to play, there's no other way on ≥10.0. I don't use cheats almost at all, so i don't really need to delete updates and force lower ver. of the game etc, but i do know that dev menu is not an option for you if you are on ≥10.0.

Ah, okay. That’s a huge load off my shoulders, thank you. At least I know to give up on the dev menu.

I’ll keep looking for a way to use cheats by some other means. I just got stuck on this devmenu track.

It still installs fine tho, it just doesn't work anymore. But i'm using vanilla atmos, not kosmos.

I know Devmenu is no longer a thing but I am trying to install the Doom 1993 Classic addons but they are not standad DLC because the Add-Ons are stored in a cache partition. So is there any other program that can do the same thing.

Import the addon/cache to either System Memory (eMMC) or SD Card.

@burhansalih, and to all who is interested in solution of how to install DOOM add-ons on FW 10.1.0 without Devmenu, here it is:

  • Install the game and it's latest update to the Switch.
  • Copy the switch folder to the root of your microSD card (it contains DBI.nro homebrew).
  • Run dbi v155 homebrew (attached) on your Switch, then connect USB cable to the PC. After that, press X button to enable 'dbi MTP'.
  • The new Switch device appears on the PC. Open it, the open 6: Saves> Installed games > DOOM (or DOOM II).
  • Copy there all 'Cache.000*' folders with add-ons (they MUST be named like this: Cache.0000, Cache.0001, Cache.0002, Cache.0003, and so on, it's right structure you can see right under the spoiler below), then press 'Yes' button every time.
  • After copying is finished, press X to disconnect USB connection and exit the dbi homebrew.
  • Launch the game, select "Add-ons" in the main menu and activate desired Add-ons with the Y button.
Enjoy! ^_^
