Hi there,

this may be a stupid question, but maybe over the years, new realease of nintendont are changing things. So I would ask, I still have to rename every single gamecube iso in "game"?

Hello.:)

The same Procedure as every Year...:D
Yes,every single Game has to named game.iso and the Second Disc if present,disc2.iso.
Copied in the Folder with the Game Name and the ID.

Quick Installation:
  1. Get the loader.dol, rename it to boot.dol and put it in /apps/Nintendont/ along with the files meta.xml and icon.png.
  2. Copy your GameCube games to the /games/ directory. Subdirectories are optional for 1-disc games in ISO/GCM and CISO format.
    • For 2-disc games, you should create a subdirectory /games/MYGAME/ (where MYGAME can be anything), then name disc 1 as "game.iso" and disc 2 as "disc2.iso".
    • For extracted FST, the FST must be located in a subdirectory, e.g. /games/FSTgame/sys/boot.bin .
  3. Connect your storage device to your Wii or Wii U and start The Homebrew Channel.
  4. Select Nintendont.

Thank you.:)

Really?
Yeah. But for neatness sake, I would still name them game.iso just so I don't have a bunch of individually named games and then in the middle of it are 2 games with game.iso and disc2.iso. Would trigger my OCD :P
But it doesn't really matter, also the "requirement" about naming the folders Game Name [GameID] seems to not matter at all anymore (the game ID is grabbed directly from the ISO now apparently)
But I still like to name them that way so it's all nice and organized.

Yes, try it yourself! You can keep things organized by putting multi disc games into a folder. For example your "games" folder can look like:

Super Smash Bros Melee.iso
Tales of Symphonia [GQSEAF] (this is a folder)
Wario World.iso

The only drawback with this is when you use a loader like USB Loader GX because all the games have to be in the folder format with the name game.iso / disc2.iso but it never loads them. Meanwhile using only nintendont it reads them normally in that format

I think the next Thread would have been "Nintendont won´t read my Games."
A Manual from the Creator is not a bad Idea to follow and not to ignore.:)
