:teach:Hello friends I recently decided to dive back into PSOP :yaypsp:seems as I never completely PSOP2 first time around 3 years ago due to inconveniences(hard-drive format:sleep:) took it hard:cry:......so know I'm looking at this Infinity version and notice that a English patch for it is being worked on and I'm happy you guys have gone so for .....but my question is how does a game really take 5 years to translate really tell me I might end up doing one to increase my programing skills. :wink:If you guys made it this so far why not release the big chunk of partial patches as is?( :unsure:sorry if i irritated you with that statement) also is it possible that maybe you guys could ask bandia look into releasing as an actually NA or global release maybe they could. sense you've done the work  or was that a stupid question.
Either way hopefully I'll still be playing the game when the patch is finish I love supporting old school gamer geeks that's willing to go through the lengths for everyone i love you guys keep it up and remember people like PSOP still and is waiting.

.....but my question is how does a game really take 5 years to translate really tell me I might end up doing one to increase my programing skills. :wink:If you guys made it this so far why not release the big chunk of partial patches as is?

The team have their own lives to live. They cannot dedicate their whole time in this. Period. Remember that this project was done out of their initiative. Meaning, they do not owe you, or for this matter, everyone, anything. A game translation project doesn't solely end when the translation work, which could also take years, is done. They also have to insert them back into the game and make sure that it is at a playable state and free of any bugs that might be game-breaking. Personal life matters + they are doing this without getting paid + entitled people in this thread, like us= years and years to finish this project. They may even never release this if things fell out of place, who knows. You could take the time reading this whole thread if you want to, just so you could understand some technical things they discussed along the way and you may even get something out of those, I don't know. Anyways, they might release this by this year's last quarter if the testers satisfies what the team is looking for. A bug-free and translations-error-free output. Let us just wait patiently for it.

If you guys made it this so far why not release the big chunk of partial patches as is?

They have answered this a bunch of times. NO PARTIAL PATCHES. FINAL PATCH ONLY. Please refer to the very first post of this thread.

Plus its just Weyu and Jam doing this right? Two people are not really going to speed though a story based game's translation and injection.

Weyu and Jam run the team and they recruited people as beta testers which was another topic created in April of this year. weyu was in a earlier topic projecting them getting done sometime in Aug or Sept.

I wasnt counting the testing, i was talking about just the work of translating and code injection.

Just wanted to exclaim my sincere gratitude to everyone working on this and if you guys are in any need of programming help I would definitely be interested in helping any way I can in the next few months. I have a question for the community though, I would desperately like to talk to Retrohead and would appreciate any help anyone can provide in getting me in contact with him.

Just discovered this whole thread today out of curiosity towards the first post from looking to see if there was already an english patch for this version. Tbh, I was pleasantly surprised that it's still going 6 years after it was initially announced, and would just like to thank you dudes for your massive amounts of effort and time put into translating this game. I hope it all goes well, and that it is eventually released when it's fully ready. Stay safe, and stay well.

Well, while I don't have time to go through the whole of the discussion at this time, I'll just say thanks for working on this, and I'm looking forward to being able to play this in English at last. I played the opening mission of PSP2:I when Infinity first came out, but couldn't figure out exactly what was going on besides that there was a new race that was attacking Hyuuga's lab, or something like that. Oh, and that her weapon was badass, and that her name was Ikaruga, I think it was. Of course, I may just be getting things confused because of the forum posts I read at the time.

Anyways, good luck with the coding, and happy hunting, those bugs won't bust themselves.

I didn't exactly have internet at home for me to be able to do that. Besides, I prefer my first playthrough to be one where I can understand everything. I think I was playing the Special Demo that was released, originally. Either way, I was impressed by what I saw at the time.
