Hey so I know I might have misused brick in the title but I don't really know how to explain my issue in a summarized format. So basically I haven't used my 3DS in a long time (Few years) and now im trying to get back into it, but my SD card is gone, I have no clue why. When I start my 3DS it says An error has occured: Failed to apply 1 firm patch(es). Press any button to shutdown. So obviously I'm aware why it is saying this, and im going to get a new micro sd card (This is a new 3ds xl) but when i do, I will need my exact files im assuming and i don't know where to find them. I stated a few years ago in a post on this forum "I have A9LH + Luma with FBI" any questions ill try my best to answer, I hope someone can help me find where to get my files. Thank you

Hold (Select) on power on to get Luma version on the top of the upper screen
Luma3DS v??? configuration

If the console is still on A9LH (version lower or equal to v7.0.5) upgrade to B9S first:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s

If you already have B9S download and extract latest Luma3DS release on your new micro-SD. To successfully do the finalizing part you need to have the Homebrew Launcher (boot.3dsx) in addition to Luma3DS (boot.firm) on your SD. Both files are inside the Luma release. All other downloads are linked on the guide.

Good luck and have fun!

I believe I've heard of this error occurring if you try using a newer system update without updating luma first.

In this case, Luma3DS is being loaded from CTRNAND, likely an older version of Luma3DS than what was on his SD card which is why it used to work and doesn't anymore, but you are right in that the Luma version is probably too old.
