these video game manufacturers think they can half-@$$ their way to making a complete console and change it whenever they want. more likely they do it to reign authority over customers, to prevent them from running unauthorized code.

How do you accidentally update? Do you connect your switch to wifi even while using SX
I don't use NSP's or cheats and such, just run only my own games. I was connecting to the eshop to download a game and I think since not doing much bad and using carts I've been lucky enough to not be banned so was updating as had to to be able to download game from the ship as the games not available on cart

America is far from half of the world. US outside are just peachy. Being criminals when purchased a house from Tom Nook and he gave no documentation.
The only thing I don't like about the updates is the prompt to update every time you want to re-enter the game that you're playing (like if you want to check the album while playing)
