he could have ran up the side of the building to collect the rings we've seen him do it
if his so fast and can stop time how come egg man could keep up with him?

Featuring an ALL NEW redesigned Sonic that everyone hates but they'll scrap at the last moment! Yay!

First movie was OK. Not as bad as it could have been. The next movie needs to get out of the real world and into Sonic's but it's probably cheaper to film on location so probably won't happen at least for the majority of the film.

I expected worse tbh. But I agree, they'd probably end it with them going back into Sonic's world if it does well and hope for bigger budget. Who knows.

But contradicts because knuckles is supposed to be gurdian of the master emerald in the sky.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Knuckles is introduced, he is hunting Sonic for his tribe on Earth, presuming they were the ones at the beginning of the first film and ends up having to choose between Sonic and said tribe at the end.

It’s not the first time Sega has deviated from the ‘guarding the Master Emerald’ plot (see the OVA) and even they seem to be forgetting it in the games now.

Saw the first one on blu ray. (That's right, I dont go to the movie theater.. too expensive and junk food and too dark).

It was an okay movie.. Nice cgi technology for Sonic, thought. I will be seeing the sequel because of the ending spoiled. Curiosity. Not great movie. It was just an okay movie.

Awesome! I enjoyed the first one, it was light-hearted and clearly set up for a sequel. I hope this time they'll drop a bigger budget seeing that the first one worked out well.

Because Eggman had one of Sonic’s quills and was able to use that to harness the speed power for his own use.

It’s a really dumb explanation, but it was at least explained

i'm predicting a 2022-2023 release. it roughly takes 6 months to write a decent script, 7 months filming so that will take you to late 2021 since filming guidelines for the current situation not kicking into 2021 I'm presuming. Post Production takes 4-5 months dependant o how much CGI is needed. so that almost certainly rules out a 2021 release. 2022 maybe plausible if everything falls in place correctly next year. however with filming more likely to need extra time going forward i do expect a 2023 release.

My prediction:

Tails has been searching for Sonic because of Reasons. This forces Sonic to go back and bring Donut Lord (heh) and introduces us to how Mobius (as it was called in classic materials). Robotnik/Eggman creates Metal Sonic, uses this to return to Mobius (which is closer than Earth). This leads to a big clash involving the Echidna, Robotnik, and team Sonic.

Then at the end, the cliffhanger is Knuckles has been part of a different Echidna tribe all along, and they come to knuckles for help, leaving us with a cliffhanger as Knuckles summons the Emeralds with the help of the Master Emerald.

...Nah.

Sonic movie was nothing special..meh..but i enjoyed it cause i love Sonic!

I still cant understand 3 things... why fur, why blue arms and why such a big torso.

Other than that..its cool.
