The problem is most likely due to exFAT as it can corrupt your SD card. Reformat it to FAT32. Also, save files are stored in the console and not on the SD card.
Tried that, didnt fix the problem

super n00b here.. what parts of all these terms/tools do i care about if only want to dual boot Ubuntu L4T. things i think i have identified looking at the homebrew guide, which doesn't talk too much about this use case vs others.. that i could pick up on anyway
- hekate - this is the injected bootloader that will in turn boot Linux payload. this process is "chain-linking" ?
- sysnand - the original software, whicj i wont be touching.
- emunand - not applicable.. i think..
- seems like i can also ignore: atmosphere, tinfoil, etc as also not using that
and 2nd question.. i am hoping to do this on a lite once the sx chip mod ship. what do people expect will be the challenges getting L4T to run? seems like 90% of drivers will be the same but guessing the way the joycons connect would be the big difference?
Complete noob question.. So perfect for posting here I guess
With everything going on, its not possible to find an unpatched switch for love nor money. Sadly I had to succumb to paying one of the leeches on eBay praying on people just looking to find any switch in general a stupid price. Anyway long preamble to just ask this. The switch is unpatched according to serial number but the switch has been updated to the recently released firmware 10.0.
My questions are as follows:
- will I have any issues in modding /installing CFW being on the latest firmware
- from the beginning research I have done I know I need to make sysNAND and emuNAND builds (not sure what this means fully yet, I'm sure the guides will make it fall into place ), will this be impacted starting out on the latest firmware?
From what I understand the exploit is hardware based on unpatched models so I'm assuming I shouldn't have any issues. Your help on clarifying this and making me aware of anything else I might need to know would be great.
Thanks
Does someone know the solution?Tried that, didnt fix the problem
@SANICspeed does that mean even with the serial being in the range that is definitely not patched according to the forums here the switch I have purchased can still be patched?
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
@SANICspeed does that mean, even with my switch being in the serial number range of switches that are definitely patched, it can still actually turn out to be patched? I'm confused. Apologies for the dumb question
That's largely correct, yes. Without swapping hardware, the RCM exploit is unpatchable on a system that already has it.To be clear @SANICspeed the patch we're talking about here is a hardware patch right?

As in it would have had to have been sent into nintendo in order to be patched physically?
3. You cannot test your jig if AutoRCM is enabled. ChoiDujourNX is also not necessarily safe as that introduces the usage of both CFW & homebrew increasing the ban risk. A third method you did not list is installing the system update offline in CFW because CFW prevents AutoRCM from being removed during system updates.
1. It's highly recommended, if you don't want to get banned, and as I said in the other thread, this version of Incognito RCM should work with 10.0.0.1) Is it really necessary to have Incognito for offline CFW?
2) There are obviously some folders/files on the sd card relating to CFW. Has anyone been banned just for having the files on the card or is it safe to leave it in?
Do you have the proper signature patches installed? Which NSP installer are you using?Hello, I got a question: Is there a problem if I try to use the lastest Atmosphere on Firmware 9.1.0? I updated everything and it seemed to work fine but when I try to open a .nsp the console freezes. Thanks
Yes, that's probably the safest method of having a clean up-to-date sysNAND while also having AutoRCM so as not to burn fuses. So that would be download in Stock SysNAND and then switch to offline CFW SysNAND to install should be relatively safe?
Thanks for your help.
Thank you. Hard to keep up with all the threads and information.1. It's highly recommended, if you don't want to get banned, and as I said in the other thread, this version of Incognito RCM should work with 10.0.0.
Ok, hope that holds out.2. There is no evidence that merely having those folders has gotten anyone banned.
