Uh oh. That wasn't supposed to happen.

April fools, everyone. I went on a retro gaming binge over the summer and saw an Atari 5200 cartridge for Kaboom while looking for carts and lost my shit. I was using it as my avatar on Switch while updating JKSV for libnx. I screwed up a little and my user screen got filled with this beautiful man and I lost it again. This is the result. Hope you got a kick outta it.

Hey JK! My copy of Animal Crossing finally came in the mail today and I wanted to transfer my save from EmuNAND to OFW so I can start playing legit. I heard this is really easy to do with JKSV and have used it many times to backup and restore my ACNH save within EmuNAND, but cannot figure out how to transfer it over to OFW. Is there a certain button or option that flew under my radar?

Hi Sir! Thank you for sharing but I have input the JKSV.nro under my Switch folder (tx pro v2.9.4), but when I open the JKSV, nothing happens when I press A, Y or any other buttons. I cannot create any folder or back up, the keyboard doesnt show up in this case. I can only press B to go back to the main page.

Could you please help as I really want to back up my animal crossing saved file. Thank you very much!

Edit: Sorry I managed to use the L/R to back up under device tab. But when I press Y (without holding L.R) to restore it, it doesnt seem to work and the save file is still the same (I am using pokemon shield to test)

You need to boot into sysnand in order to import it there.

Does the progress bar pop up? No commit errors?

I am using BCAT for backing up Pokemon Shield.
1. For some back ups the progress bar pop up but for some it doesn’t. There is no error message.
2. Even the progress bar pop up, when I go back to the game it is still the latest saved point but not the one I wanted to restore
3. Should hold L or R when pressing Y to restore?

Thank you for the help and please correct me if I didn’t do properly

Pokemon's saves are located under your account. BCAT data is from Nintendo's servers. For Pokemon, that's usually wondercards for event Pokemon.

Thank you for the clarification.
So in this case can I still back up my Pokémon save? Thank you. Is it using the first button which is my own account to do?

You're gonna be better off asking people who have animal crossing about that. I don't actually have the game yet. JKSV just worked with it from the beginning. I didn't do anything special to add support for it in case anyone thought I did.

Yep, that's right. I also finished adding in a little options menu with a safety feature the original 3ds version had and an option to attach device saves to all accounts if you want it that way. So, you can look forward to that. Also, finally has favorites.

Should you preset or append a timestamp on the input backup folder name?
Such as "XXX_20200407_1805".
I always backup my Animal Crossing save, But I need to type the date time manually each times.
(I am lazy.)

I can add it to the dictionary suggestions for you. You'd have to type 2 to make it show up though. You sure you have the energy for that?

Added it for ya. Also, sorta prerelease for anyone else. Been working on and off the past few days taking a look at code and stuff I put off adding to it. Bug reports appreciated if you find any.
Thanks, I used it. It is work! "Devices Save - 2020.XX.XX @ HH:MM:SS":D

But I have a little bit confuse for the interface,
I saw "[L][R] AutoName" on the bottom,
It seems it need to "Hold [L] and click New" to backup?
(I will confuse "Press [L]+[R] to backup with AutoName" )

And I found that "Hold [L] and click New" will store "2020.09.04" (YYYY.DD.MM)?
But "Hold [R] and click New" will store "2020.04.09" (YYYY.MM.DD)? I like this format.

thank you first.

It's L or R while pressing A. They give a slightly different date format depending on which you use. 3DS version had this because of requests, so I carried it over.
