Hi, I accidentally system transfer my 3ds to new 3ds without backing up the ticket.db but i do backup my legit enctitlekeys.bin so I been wondering and looking around for a pc software or homebrew app that manage to extract ticket from enctitlekeys.bin. I know that CIAngels, Tikdevil, freeshop and a lot famous applications were unusable nowadays. I also heard of faketik but it generates fake ticket, is there any other ways to generate legit ticket ? thanks.

(Most) pirated CIAs do not have legit tickets to begin with. You cannot dump and then install private legit tickets from one 3DS system to another 3DS due to mismatch in DeviceID signature.

If your games, updates, and dlcs were obtained from freeShop, CIAngel, Villain3DS, or Nintendo eShop with TIKdevil generated fake tickets, there's no point worrying about having fake tickets as those titles never had legit tickets to begin with.

Edit - Just use faketik to relist or restore the missing fake tickets.

Previously I dumped my own legit ORAS cartridge and install into my old3DS but it missing from my new3ds home menu after system transfer, so i doubted if it require a ticket to make it reappear ? because re-dumping and reinstall everything was time-consuming.

You cannot dump a title with it retaining a legit ticket. it dont work that way. You need to restore tickets with faketik to get ORAS to appear again.

Dumping 3DS game carts as .3DS roms and then converting them to .CIA also falls under the nonlegit category as 3DS carts do not have tickets. When converted into CIAs, those have fake tickets added in.

You do not want to dump and reinstall CIAs as doing that will overwrite and delete all your game saves.

If you see signs of missing tickets, run the faketik to make them reappear on HOME Menu.
Then use Cthulhu to mass unwrap gift icons.

I not sure about this because i using godmode9 to dump my cartridge by building cia (legit) so i assume that cia dumped was legit ?

Godmode9's Build CIA (legit) only works for system titles, universally legit game CIAs, private legit digital eShop titles you purchased with your own money, and updates you personally downloaded from eShop or HOME Menu (those with TitleIDs: 0004000eXXXXXXXX).

Yeah you are right, my saves was gone after reinstalling CIAs. Alright I will use faketik, seemed like there is no way generating a legit ticket. But I would also like to ask for my personal knowledge, do you mean previously before Nintendo block freeshop and CIAngel, were these applications using fake ticket to download from the CDN ?

They have legit tickets. but they are also linked to said console. doing a transfer would mean you lose that game.

I mean... If you really want legit tickets, go buy the digital copies of the games from Nintendo eShop.

Yes, all homebrew based CDN downloaders were producing CIAs with fake or nonlegit tickets.

The only purpose of the EncTitleKeys.bin was to decrypt the contents once those titles were fully downloaded on your PC or 3DS. It serves no other purpose once the title is installed or converted into CIA.

Those games such as Mario Kart 7 and Legend of Zelda series that came prebundled with special edition 3DS / 2DS systems are the rare exception of having universally legit tickets.

The only difference between having a fake ticket or legit ticket for a game is that those with fake tickets do not launch / can't be played on nonhacked 3DS systems. This point is entirely moot if your have custom firmware installed.

It been long time i no follow up with the 3ds hack scene, last time i used to download directly from freeshop or ciangels, only a certain games i bought legit copy. Recently, got a new 3ds from my cousin so i thought to transfer the whole thing but never realised it can be done easily via ctrnand transfer instead i did the system transfer and realise everything were missing. Then i recall there was this ticket thing able to make the missing titles reappear, so i just curious on how to generating or extracting these tickets. Anyway thanks for guidance. I learn a lots. :D

Next time you need to system transfer your 3DS library between hacked 3DS'es, look to this thread.

If you want to share or copy your Nintendo 3DS folder between two or more systems,

If I not wrong, i remember Cthulhu got a cia version ? But the your link direct me to the github which only the 3dsx version (latest v1.3.5) ? Is it the cia ver no longer being maintain ?
It should. but its 1.3.4 thats got cia. i dont think either one is being actively supported anymore. I dont see why the cia one wouldnt get done what you are wanting.

Are you familiar with the usage of 3DSX homebrew apps through Homebrew Launcher by the way of Rosalina menu injection?

The dev who created Cthulhu did not make a CIA version for the latest v1.3.5. You can obtain an unofficial copy of Cthulhu v1.3.5 in CIA form in this CFW starter kit. If you're worried about where that version came from, I'm the one who complied that one * from Ryuzaki-MrL's 1.3.5 source code using devkitarm.
