I need some help getting my DSi XL back to normal. When I turn it on top screen shows “NOCASH UNLAUNCH.DSI V0.9” and the bottom shows
“BROKEN
AND
GROUNDED”
There’s no SD card in my system.

Hello.:)

You can get into your DSi when you look for the entry "Launcher" on the Top Screen. It should bring you into your DSi Menu (no Sound, that is normal !!).
Please check this and then we can proceed with more Options if you like.:)

Thank you.:)

Keep A pressed on boot to boot in the system menu

No change from original post with holding a on boot
Can confirm this: unlaunch 0.9 does not boot to Launcher without SD, even when holding (A).

Put the latest unlaunch installer on a FAT32 formatted SD and rename it to bootcode.dsi
http://problemkaputt.de/unlaunch.htm

Your DSi should boot into the installer so you can upgrade (and use the filemenu @alexander1970 mentioned).

Refer to https://dsi.cfw.guide/ for further instructions.

Good luck and have fun.
