I want to switch to nintendont because i hear games run better there, but if the difference in efficiency is minimal, then is there a point? For games like Resident Evil 4 or Metroid Prime 2, how much better do they work on nintendont than on dios mios? one problem i notice in dios mios is that resetting a game goes to black screen and i have to unplug the wii and plug it back in to go back to the game. I know nintendont doesn't really have that problem.
Also do if i use nintendont, do i have to change widescreen settings like you do in the wii u's version of nintendont?

With Nintendont they run natively

There's no comparison, really. DiosMios was great for its time but Nintendont runs basically everything perfectly.

DiosMios doesn't even play redbook audio (EDIT: streamed audio) for games that use it. There's a whole score of other things but it would take too long to list everything.

yeah, I believe nintendont reboots the wii u when you press the home button. I'm afraid I don't remember in regards to widescreen. I know the entire screen is filled with the way I have mine setup. it's been years since I did anything to the options (probably even have an outdated nintendont).

Yeah, I might not have the right word for it but some of the audio is streamed in some games.. The intro blurb on Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a good game to test to see the difference straight away.

I know mega man x3 on the psx uses this. however, if you try burning a disc with the audio as wav or mp3, there will be no audio on the system. the one that I burned had a separate .bin for each audio track. there's also a somewhat funny track in symphony of the night. it tells you that the game is computer data, and that you shouldn't play it in a cd player, but then it has a nice song that plays anyway. I think it's just one track like that.

afaik, they're the same thing. I usually hear redbook audio as it relates to the pc engine. it's a very underrated system.

As in never heard it in relation to GameCube games

The agreement between Nintendo® and Factor 5 extends through the lifecycle of GameCube. Factor 5 is providing its acclaimed MusyX Audio Tools (formerly known as MoSys FX) as the primary sound software for the console and its developers. Using it, programmers can compose real-time music and sound effects that can be made to interact with players -- all with a degree of audio quality that rivals studio-engineered streaming music. Also, because GameCube uses a propriety disc format, streaming red book audio is also possible.

Nope I have stabbed that part out my memory
It is irrevocably posted here. You also READ evertime about it now.:D

And for the Topic:

A simple Loader that loads GameCube games via DIOS MIOS (Lite) from the SD card or a USB device.
Most USB Loaders can now do this themselves.
Nintendont has prevailed as an full Alternative today.:)

Yeah i just installed it and it works great. My only issue is that i want to get rid of dios mios but i have no idea how.

Also some games on nintendont are shrunk (and therefore red). What does this mean and will it effect the games at all when playing? They seem to work fine for me but i dont know what will happen if i play the games in the long run.

No worries about the Gameformats.:)

Loads 1:1 and shrunken .GCM/.ISO disc images.
