Hi Guys,

Fairly new at the Switch hacking scene and was wondering if anybody could help. My Switch was working fine with SX pro with AutoRCM enabled which was fine, it did cause some problems trying to power on if battery died or it was completely powered down but I was always able to get it going. I was looking at upgrading the firmware for 6.0 to something higher using ChoiDujourNX. I powered down the switch and removed the SD card, copied on the firmware files and reinserted the SD card and tried to power up, could not get switch to power on with the dongle in the bottom and pressing the power and + volume button as normal. I thought the SX dongle was dead so plugged that in to charge up for a minute but that did not work either. I also tried connecting the switch to my Laptop (Win 10) but it is not recognised in Tegrarcm even after I install the driver so can't inject any payload - No RCM device detected. Is there anything I can do to revive it or is it dead? Thanks for any help.

Edit: So I was able to get the switch detected by Tegrasmash and inject the payload to turn it on. I updated the firmware to Version 8 and rebooted it did not reboot. So I again held power button for 20 seconds and plugged in the switch to laptop and it was detected. I injected the payload and see the SX logo on screen but then it goes black and nothing happens. Is there anything I can do to resolve this new issue?

Turn Switch completely off, plug it to power outlet and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. This has worked for me in the past, even knowing my battery was almost full...

Do you have to the 2.8 Beta boot file on the root of your SD?
Try holding the vol+ when booting the get to the SX boot menu. From there you can choose to boot sysnand/emunand etc. which may help diagnose your issue if you can boot into one and not the other.
