Then I don't know why the game doesn't work, it was for the infamous iQue device, so maybe it's just borked. I suggest just using a non iQue ROM dump instead like SM64 1.1
I would if it weren't for the fact that I'm specifically trying compatibility for iQue Player ROMs.

Well, have you considered the fact that Nintendo's emulator probably isn't terribly compatible in the first place? You're probably better off trying the ROM in Wii64/Not64 instead. Hate to break it to you, but Nintendo's N64 emulator kinda sucks for high compat. Sounds to me it's just incompatible with iQue dumps, nothing we can do to make it work.

I've run the Paper Mario ROM in Wii U VC before. And it's the tool that this thread is about that's having the issue, I haven't even got it working on the Wii U itself yet.

Different Bases and ini settings can effect compatibility and the Emulator revisions themselves are not designed for 100% compatibility in mind unfortunately but rather Game specific.

But like @the_randomizer said why the interest in ique roms?

And why not use not64/wii64.

F-zero X is the most up to date version of the emulator IIRC

Interesting that is the 1st revision along with Donkey Kong 64.

Have you tryed Paper Mario as base with the Paper Mario ique rom.

I know myself that quite a lot of Japan Roms run well but there regional counterparts dont.

Biohazard 2 and BlastDozer for example but Resident Evil 2 and BlastCorps dont Boot.

I'll try Paper Mario in a while once I've finished what I'm doing.

FZeroX is indeed the latest but a couple of roms dont boot with it but do with other revisions.

I would use Fzerox base as the standard though since it latest it also appears to have all ini settings from previous revisions and extra shaders.

I'm having some issues.

Is it possible to enable the log so I can see what the actual error is?
Hello

I'm sorry for the problems. The simplest way to generate a log to see where the problem is using 64Inject in command mode.

For example:

>64inject -name "Game Name" -rom "c:\path\to\some n64 rom.z64" -ini "c:\path\to\some n64 vc INI file.ini" not-encrypt

The injection process consists of 6 steps.

- Check the loaded base.

- Edit the file FrameLayout.arc.

- Change icon and boot images.

- Edit the meta.xml file

- Copy and paste the ROM file and the INI file.

- Encrypt or copy the result in the output folder.

When a step fails, it sends a certain error message to the log (visible only in command mode), cancels the injection process by skipping the following steps and sending a second message "The injection failed.". Unfortunately the GUI only shows this second message.

He regretted the delay in responding. I'll be checking the thread to see how it went.

Thanks to CORE and the_randomizer for the support.

OK, I'll try that when I can. Thanks!

cdecrypt and a WiiU VC N64 Game get FZeroX.

I used CDecrypt on Super Mario 64 (the game I am injecting is Super Mario 64 Modded 60FPS), the decrypted folders are:

SuperMario64 [GAMEID..]/code
SuperMario64 [GAMEID..]/content
SuperMario64 [GAMEID..]/meta

Is this the correct format?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
