Gaming [NDSLite] Red light then turn off (already checked main components)

Hello, I have some dead NDSL PCBs that I wish I could repair, it's the first time I encounter this problem so I don't really know what to look for.

I had previous issues on other PCBs regarding top screen, ribbon cable, fuses and so on, needless to say I fixed all that stuff easily and there are a lot of tips on the Internet.

However, with these two PCBs I'm totally clueless, when I insert the charger, the red light flashes and then turns off immediately. Screens DON'T flash.
So this is what I did so far:
1) Check top screen/ribbon cable
2) Check bottom screen
3) Check F1, F2, EM10
4) Check charger port/battery contacts

Everything is okay as it should be, it looks like there is some heavy damage somewhere in the motherboard, probably due to a drop or something. The PCB looks intact though and there is no oxydation or corrosion. The other components look good and soldered in place, I didn't check them all though, I mean there are a lot of them if I only knew where to start it would be a nice thing.
So yeah basically as far as I know when the red light flashes there are some problems related to the top screen or fuses, but as already said I checked the main problems so I need to do something more deep.

Any particular thing I should look for? Are these PCBs repairable somehow or should I throw them away?

Other than fuses, cases, screens, switches and obvious visual damage we tend not to go that far in component level stuff. I applaud such desires/efforts but when there are millions of the things out there and you can pick them up for next to nothing, and replacement motherboards for not a lot, the desire to play circuit diagnosis is limited when compared to test gear, phones, tablets and laptops costing far far more and/or having precious data on it. Indeed I don't know that we even have a schematics list and trace locations thing like we see for some high end phones and laptops for the DS family at this point should you have wanted to go there anyway.

That would be some drop (like off a cliff or a block of flats) do real damage here, or be crushed by something. On the other hand could still be a ribbon cable connector if it was a drop at the right angle.

Continue with visual inspection of the connectors as well as the ribbons, and anything else that might have come dislodged. You can try with some pressure on the board in various ways to see if it boots.

I assume you tried just the motherboard in an otherwise working DS lite too.

Yea I was just wondering if there could have been another red flag that I missed out, like a fuse or whatever, that's why I asked...but I start to believe it's heavily hardware damaged somehow, and as you said its better to replace the whole motherboard than become crazy finding the problem, at this point!
